The Five: Shows I'd like to see combined
So now we have The Real Housewives
of Orange County coming our way. It seems like an obvious (to me anyway) combination of Desperate
Housewives and The O.C. It's as if the creators just took two popular TV shows and combined them into one
show, hoping that the Hollywood Math would turn 1 hit show 1 hit show = one really big hit show! This is a great idea though. It would even make being a TV Squad writer easier, since it's so hard to watch everything on TV. Some other combos I'd like to see:
- CSI: Saturday Night Live. Why not? You have one show doing boffo ratings, and you have one show way past its prime and the butt of jokes. So maybe the cast of SNL can become crime scene investigators (led by Lorne Michaels in the William Peterson role), solving murders that occur at the studio.
- America's Next Top Medium: Tyra Banks and James Van Praggh co-host this exciting reality show, where the best mediums and psychics compete to see who will win top prize.
- How I Lost Your Mother: Wacky sitcom set on a deserted island, where a single guy searches the island for the woman of his dreams, while dealing with polar bears, mysterious castaways, and secret hatches.
- 24 Meals: This is pretty much like Rachael Ray's original, only instead of having only 30 minutes to prepare a meal, she has an entire day. Filmed in real time.
- Everybody Hates Paris
Hilton: This is self-explanatory.
