Next on American Idol: Prince?

prince symbolThe NY Post's Page Six is reporting that that symbol guy Prince will actually sing on American Idol this season! Of course, this comes from "an inside source," so who knows if it's true or not.

The same source says that Prince "hates the show and has never even watched it." Um, how can he hate it if he doesn't even watch it? Not that he wouldn't hate it if he watched it. I'm sure he would.

Matt its quite obvious ur not a Prince fan just so u know Prince is back to using his name"Prince". Again only the greatest musician for decades. As a pervious poster said that american idol is beneath Prince's status and I agree with him a 100%. Prince does not need American Idol to boost his album sales,,,,the mans got it all.

Prince is a music legend. He's one of the 'greats' that will have his songs played over and over for generations. His 'sound' is so unique and its never been copied to this day by any other artist. '1999' will always get a party hopping! He was so hot looking in his movie Purple Rain, and had a really great soundtrack.

Irrespective of whether or not Prince likes or dislikes the show (I would probably guess he hates it like I do), let's face it folks-its Karaoke on National Television. What's to like? So called "Reality Television" is so obviously a "bottom feeder" form of entertainment and is so devoid of any merit-no wonder the public likes it.

Oh Please! Keep that Idiot off the TV. If he don't like the show and has never watch it then keep your skinny butt home. Nobody wants to see your same old crap anyway!

Simon owns the show? I'm sure that Simon Cowell, the judge, gets a tidy sum for doing what he does so well on the show. However, Simon Fuller is the executive producer and, up until this season, co-owner of 19 Entertainment. He's the one ruining the "idols" careers until they can, like Kelly Clarkson, breakaway!

What you are not aware of is that Prince is no longer lewd. He is extremely religious now and will not allow foul language, will not perform any of his numbers that are sexually balent. I mean who cares but he is a changed man. American Idol is unfortunately all about the ratings. Ever seen the actual votes for each candidate? Never will either. Their Idol is already decided upon and your calls are a waste of your dialing technique.

Oh Scott, you must be jealous over these contestant who were good enough to make it on American Idol. I think it's great to see what uncovered talent there is out there instead of hearing the moronic songs that the same tired artists belt out every day. You must have been one of the rejects who didn't make it the first go round... get over yourself and let others enjoy what they're obviously talented enough to do.

Anyone who thinks Prince is too sexual or "adult" for American Idol really has missed a lot.

Prince is completely family oriented now. He certainly isn't doing anything for more money at this point.

As for his name, that was all Warner Bros fault, it wasn't is decision to change his name. Warner Bros threatened to sue him if he used the name that is on his birth certificate "Prince" due to an overlooked paragraph in a multi record contract deal. He had to wait for the contract to expire before he could call himself "Prince" again.... yes very stupid I know, but not Prince's fault.

Peace to Prince!
