Though I'm a 24 fan, I don't care for this season as much as previous ones. I guess I'm disgruntled because they killed off the characters I embraced--Tony, Michelle, Palmer, even Edgar. I liked these people because they were the only ones who seemed to find some kind of life. Jack is a bad news buffet that never shuts down! But I keep showing up for dinner. On a related Palmer subject, I really like Dennis Haysbert's new series The Unit. I want one of those GET OUT OF HELL cards he hands out.

WE LOVE JACK!! I agree President does have different demeanor i.e. facial expression, feel sure it was all part of carrying off this latest plot twist...had him looking all wimpy before so we believe he is incapable of anything smart and now that this latest twist has appeared they are bolstering their credibility by giving him a more sinister, more intellegent facial expression...love Mrs. Pres' interactions with everybody and hoping that she has a MAJOR part in these latest machinations!!

I think a great twist would be that the real President Palmer is alive after all. Perhaps a stand in was used by the current president so that he could take office but has kept the real Palmer locked up in a secret room right under CTU!
He escapes in the finale and is re-instated as President of the United States.

As someone who lived through Watergate I find it all to easy to believe that the President can be dirty. We have gone through times in this country when the CIA was running a shadow government. In both cases the average American would never have believed it. They were the good guys! How could it happen? Remember the President actually believes he is doing the right thing by the Country and there is nothing as dangerous as a villian who believes he is a hero. Once again the 24 writers have made me uncomfortable by being all too close to reality.

My wife and I hated the fact that the Bank President was killed -He should have been wounded instead of kill.

Well sometimes actually most of the time I feel as though I could be writing the show although this whole President being the terrorist thing kinda threw me off. WHat pissed me off about tonight is that the President looks different maybe it is just me but I doubt it. He looks smug now he used to look dpressed and angry now he looks like he has gone cokcy in like 10 minutes but I love this show JACK ROCKS!!!

Well, they didn't do it tonight. Entertaining episode, but I still have trouble believing 'Nixon' really was in the know this whole time. He hasn't shown signs of being clever enough this whole time; I can't believe he's been putting us on.

24 has always succeeded in having the ultimate plotline and I'm sure the writers will be able to carry out one that will be interesting yet believeable in the weeks to come.
