His name's Deon, but you can call him 'Bud'

deon richmond; teachersWhile watching Scrubs last night, I saw a familiar face in a promo for the new NBC sitcom, Teachers. The guy on my television screen had his arms stuck in the window of a car and I had to pause my TiVo and stare at the TV because I swear I knew him from somewhere!

With Scrubs on hold, I went to NBC's webpage for Teachers and found out who the guy was. It's Deon Richmond, y'all! He played Rudy's friend Kenny ("but I call him 'Bud'") on The Cosby Show. Since then, he appeared in Eddie Murphy's Raw and Spike Lee's Mo Better Blues. He's also appeared on a string of sitcoms, including a recurring role on Sister, Sister.

It's great to see him, but I'm still not going to watch that show.

I wish Sarah Alexander would continue making more episodes of Coupling, that show was so great over in the UK. Also, thanks for the confirmation on Dean Rochmond. He was also in Scream 3 but he got killed. Tell you the truth, he wasn't on screen too much.

Ok I know this is really weird, but I thought "Bud" died last year! OBVIOUSLY, & thankfully, I was wrong. Still not watching the show, though.

Sorry kids; there's only one Bud in TV history.
He had an older sister they called Princess and a younger sister.
He was on Father Know Best for years in the fifties.

I read in a magazine that Bud had died. So glad that it was not true!

He was a part of the sketch in the beginning of Raw as 'Little Eddie' according to http://imdb.com/title/tt0092948/ , which is pretty reliable for information about movies already released.

Dave...he was in Raw...It was in the beginning b4 the jokes...They did a segment flashback to when Eddie Murphy was a child. He was the child who told the "raw" joke at his familys get-together. It was really funny...raw but funny! I had cousins who were just as bad!

Every time I meet someone named Bud, I go into that "Buuuud" thing. And, I enjoy the show. I think it's funny.

Yeah he was in Raw. He was in one of the sketches. He was also the token black guy in Not Another Teen Movie.

Dave, yep....he was in "Raw". He played Eddie as a kid at the beginning of the show.
