Little Einsteins on iTunes

little einsteinsThose of you with small children might be interested to know that Disney's Little Einsteins, the animated preschool program about a group of intelligent youngsters in a magic rocket which uses classical music and fine arts to enhance the educational experience, is now available on iTunes. Individual episodes will be $1.99 while the full first season will be $25.87. So, basically, if your kids want to download these episodes they need to get off their blankets and get a job so they can afford to pay for them. If you just buy them the episodes, they'll never learn what it means to work for something, which is why you should send your three-year-old to work a nightly ten-hour shift as a longshoreman. This will make the experience of watching the program all the more meaningful, trust me.

The Apple option is good if you want to play the videos on your computer or an ipod. You must have a video ipod and cable for the TV if you want to play them on a TV- you can't burn videos bought from the Apple store onto a DVD that will play independently.

I have to disagree. My son who will find a show and then stick with it at the exclusion of all others (ok maybe 2 or three shows), loves it and so do I.

Let me tell you, when you ask your 3 1/2 year old who did the music on this episode and he says (in his own 3 1/2 year old way) Antonen Deborjak (Antonin Devorak) you know a show is doing its job.

I'm just glad that Disney didn't ruin the Einsteins brand and made the show really great tv for the young'uns.

Let me just say that, of all of the Playhouse Disney shows, this is the one I like the least. I just can't get into the music and the lessons. My daughters, who watch Playhouse Disney religiously, switch to Blue's Clues or something else when this show comes up.
