American Idol: The Bucky Stops Here

ai logoThis week's Results Show should have been renamed Make Everybody's Parents Cry Show because that's what it was. I was actually confused at first -- why were the contestants crying at their parents videos? It's not like they are on Survivor and don't get to see them every week. Heck, half of their parents are in the audience every night. They probably see their family more than I get to see mine. Then, I thought maybe they were crying at hearing their parents say such nice things about them. But that doesn't make sense because parents always gush over their kids. Even when their kids sorta suck. Then, I realized that they were crying because they are all physically and mentally exhausted. They are crying 'cause they just want to go home...but not really.

But Bucky is going home. I think that he's a great guy, but no way was he ever going to become the next American Idol. So, I don't really shed too many tears for Bucky. Ace and Elliott were the other two at the bottom. But what was weird about tonight was that I honestly think Ace was convinced that he was going home. Absolutely convinced of it. And, I was a little bit worried when Elliott was brought into the bottom three and asked to sing on the spot. For a moment, I thought that it was going to be some sort of wacky Idol trick where they just eliminated him on the spot. Luckily, they just had an hour of television to kill.

Next week, Rod Stewart takes over. Notify your moms and aunts, 'cause you know they love him. Love him.

If you assume that Idol is manipulated (not necessarily fixed) by the producers, you get much more entertainment value out of each show. For instance, have we noticed that Ace was hanging by a thread, and all of a sudden Ryan is spending more time talking to him? Telling the audience he's single, and saying "I notice you don't miss the gym much" to get a good of his biceps. Does that make a difference in the final vote? I think it certainly might. I don't recall Bucky.

Ace, though a nice guy, should have gone home this week. Kellie, Ace, Paris and saddly Taylor who happens to be so much fun to watch will go home eventually, no matter the order it will happen . The real competition lays among Chris, katherine and Elliot. Clearly Chris has all the material to become the next AI, Katherine and Elliott are excellent singers and should go to Broadway and have the career of their lives. This is been a great season.

How much do you want to bet Ace will do "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" next week?

Not to be mean but this is in response to Gina's comment about people only commenting on looks and asking if we remmeber Ruben. Well, we do remember Ruben, but barely because where is he now? Not saying his looks have anything to do with it but visually, he didn't have the "Idol" package. I liked Ruben but Clay rec'd more fame & fortune than him, though Clay should have been in theatre. I loved Mandisa's voice & agree should was better than most of the people on there, but I couldn't see her being the Idol image!

I think it was time that Bucky went home, he really was such a nice person, but like every one claims this is about the voice, and will we buy the cd of the new AI when it comes out, that's what this is all about. Kelli---now she's really putting on an act, way too much. give it up girl! We got the picture, you want to appear dumb! Would never buy her CD if she won!
Ace is so into himself, he doesn't even seem that concerned for the other's.
I think by far, Chris has it, nothing like Bo last year, but he could pull it off. I have a feeling "America" is going to vote for someone like Kelli again. Taylor and Elliot is growing on me.
I think Kat, should be on Broadway she definitely has the voice for it. Every fan has their favorite's so who ever goes home in the next few weeks will be disappointed. To be honest, last year was so much better. And to whom ever said that about Rod Stewart, is obvious way to young and never listened to his music, "to each his own", I think it will be an honor for the contestants to sing any one of his songs :)
Thanks

I'm sorry, but Ace should have gone because his performance was really aweful. Bucky did a great job, and deserved another week. I just wish that pickler would go. There's just something that works on my nerves and she was terrible this week.

Taylor Hicks all the way!

I think it was time that Bucky left. His singing made my ears bleed. I truly can not stand Kellie, who is she kidding trying to act all sexy with the way she tries to dance. Then Ace, needs to go. his voice is one demensional. I love Taylor, but his days are numbered. I truly want Elliot to win. Chris will be alright. He probably has 100s of talent scouts looking at him, but Elliot, he truly is the underdog. He is deaf in one ear, yet always sings on tune, he isnt a stud, but you can see that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and his mother is sick. I want him to win. As for Katherine, i hate her. She thinks she is all that and a bag of chips. Peewee girl Paris, just needs to go. She has doors opened for her. She doesnt need to be in this competition.
ITS ELLIOT, CHRIS, AND UGH, KATHERINE, FINAL THREE

I think the talent is fairly even this year. I believe that is why everyone has so many different opinions. I think baldy is going to win though I don't really care for that kind of singing. Bo or Ace were the ones to go this week and I believe Ace will be next. For me I am a big Kellie fan. I don't think she is a fake but she is useing it a little. I think she will be a big Nashville star someday. At least I hope so. There are going to be alot of broken fans from here on out. Frankly I am sick of Paula and Simon and there actions. It's not funny anymore. I think Seacrest said it best a few weeks ago. "There are people's futures here at stake."Maybe it is time to be a bit more serious instead of acting like little children. They have made their money maybe someone else would like that chance too.
