tom cruise; south parkIn an interview with Diane Sawyer that aired on Friday night, Tom Cruise denied reports that he pressured Comedy Central to pull the South Park episode where he is in the closet. He told Sawyer that he was too busy filming Mission Impossible: III to worry about trivial matters like the repeat of South Park. Tom told Sawyer, "I don't spend my days going, 'What are people saying about me?'" Yeah, he pays people to do that.

So. Why did Comedy Central pull the episode?

It should be noted that L. Ron Hubbard once wrote, "The only way you can control anybody is to lie to them." In fact, Scientology offers classes on how to lie more effectively. Not saying anything about Scientology, just saying that in all likelihood, its members have been trained to misdirect people when they feel it is for the greater good.

Of course he said he didn't pressure Comedy Central. Tom Cruise never tells the truth about anything. He is the biggest phony I have ever seen. For the life of me, I don't know why he's so popular. The man is creepy, even before all the nutso Katie/Scientology stuff. I hope CC goes after him more. I also hope someone rescues poor Katie.
