Lost's Boone and Shannon dating. Ewwwwww!

by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 19th 2006 5:51PM
Hey, they played brother and sister on the show! How can they get going with all the K-I-S-S-I-N-G?

Ex-castaways Ian Somerhalder and Maggie Grace (Boone and Shannon) are currently dating, according to a story in US magazine. They also spend a lot of time "working out together." At Gold's Gym, that is.

I just read, although I cannot remember where, that the producers agree that the reruns are hurting the show. They said that there will be changes next year, either they will run all episodes consecutively or they will air the season in two parts. If they run it consecutively the show will not start the new season until January. The alternative would be to have some episodes in the fall of the year and then the rest of the 23 episodes would be aired in the spring. Either way would be an improvement. In my opinion.

They make the same number of new shows for Lost that all other shows of this kind make - generally 22 - 24 new shows per season. No weekly series has a new episode every single week from September to May. Instead of showing new shows for 4 months and then replaying them all twice before the next season they've opted to stretch it out some over 8 months. Get over it.

Well, yes, reruns can be annoying, but they are somewhat necessary every once in a while. I saw one cast member (Matthew Fox??) on a talk show, and he was asked about the reruns. Basically, the show's episodes usually take about 9 days to shoot and edit, and with a show due every 7 days, every once in a while they have to throw something in to give catch up time, like a rerun, flash-back clip show, or just nothing like last night which really did piss me off them putting Alias on for 2 hours. Bah.

The problem with Lost (and Alias) is that JJ Abrams was a genius and he left both shows to work on Mission Impossible III. He hasn't contributed to either show this season and these are his shows, his visions. He created them and whoever is writing them now doesn't seem to know what he wanted the shows to be.

I understand why there are so many reruns this show is filmed on location in Hawaii, Hawaii has been hit hard with storms this yearwhich makes filming on lacation almost impossible at times, I must admit i get mad when a rerun is on or not even anything like last night at least with reruns i can still watch my favorite show.

Agree with comments about re-runs and weeks off. However, still LOVE the show - don't agree that story lines have to be tied up. More and more threads that will be pulled together in time. Hopefully, many seasons to go will do that. If done too quickly, then the END.

How come these guys on the island don't seem to be having any fun? It's all so serious. No one's playing volleyball or dancing ... or hooking up! Can't have 2 months of serious!

I agree. Stop with the reruns. I can't keep up with this show anymore. ABC are you listening? And the flash backs are getting old.
