Is NBC wooing Mike Wallace?

Mike WallaceLook, we know that the NY Post's Page Six has been having some credibility problems lately, but when they publish a juicy TV-related item, it's really hard for us at TVS to ignore them. So here's today's interesting item: NBC is supposedly offering the now-retired Mike Wallace the opportunity to do "a bit of everything" at the network. So, after 50+ years of devotion to one network he would jump over to NBC. I highly doubt that. Unless CBS is in that much financial trouble I'm guessing that Mr. Wallace has carte blance over at the Eye network, probably has a nice pension, and has a choice of what to do. What would NBC offer him, other than perhaps the elixir of immortality.

When he dies, he'll be the one doing the feature story about himself and I wouldn't be shocked to see him expose dirty secrets from his past during a pressure-filled interview with himself.

Maybe they want him to play a ghost on "Medium". Isn't he almost there anyway?

One foot in the grave and one on a banana peel......
