Prison Break: The Key

by Keith McDuffee, posted Apr 24th 2006 11:07PM
prison break(S01E19) Like I'd mentioned in one of the recent APB podcasts, I already saw this episode a couple of weeks ago. Luckily the version I saw was the same as this one and ended just as shockingly. It's hard to believe that there's only one three more episodes left, and then that long wait for the next season ... if there is a next season, for sure.

The first surprise (for some of you, at least) was the return of Abruzzi. His back story was sadly missing a couple of episodes back, and it's too bad, since his story was likely one we'd have little remorse for, unlike all the other 'Breakers. Even Tweener has a sob story to tell, sitting in prison for a mere baseball card theft.

But is Abruzzi just playing everyone? Is he really reformed and forgiving of T-Bag? The fact he asked about Fibonachi again shure makes him out to be a player.

For all of you 'ship junkies out there, I'm sure you got your share of warm gigglies seeing Michael and Sarah finally lock lips, though for now it seems they're already in rocky territory.

So, what's the full story behind Mike and Lincoln's father? Thankfully it seems there might be a lot more interesting aspects to the story of what landed Lincoln in jail that what we've already seen, since, I have to admit, it wasn't getting very interesting at all.

The other interesting news we learn is that Nick is Abruzzi's contact on the outside. Is this why he's helping Lincoln and Veronica? Maybe Michael knows all of this already and is keeping it to himself?

Tweener gets more of a story this week, some of it being quite, um, painful to think about. I have to imagine that Tweener didn't really rat out the 'Breakers for the reason we're lead to believe. I think Michael, for some reason, told Tweener to tell Bellick about the hole in the break room, possibly just to isolate him to kill him. Otherwise I'm not quite sure how the next episode could continue with the cat out of the bag like that.

But how could Bellick be killed in the break room when the prisoners have no access? Could it be that Michael or some other inmate is in the tunnel below, waiting to grab Bellick? Or is Tweener actually in the break room with Bellick and we didn't see him? Actually, judging by Sucre's scene from next week, maybe Tweener really does rat them out.

I gotta say that Lincoln getting caught was a big bummer. I'd thought it would actually be a cool twist to allow for more inmates to escape with Michael next week, but I guess that's not going to happen. From the looks of the finale, we saw who gets left behind, but that could be there to throw us off.

Ahhhhh That kiss my god!! :)
It sent shivers down my spine.
See how He kept looking at her keys.
That's not why he kissed her..........
He could have grabbed them if he wanted to.

I think that Bellick may b part of da plan. Cos normally in interesting films, there r always huge twists at da end. So here, i think that perhaps bellick tried 2 show the viewers that he is against MichAEL, and at the end he reveals that he is actually going 2 help get da escape team out of Fox river. cos rite now it seems impossible for them 2 escape. I guess we hav 2 wait and see!!!

This episode was intense. When it ended with Bellick smashing the floor, I said thats it shows over. Then next week there going out the tunnel? Whoa. I was so overjoyed to see Sara and Michael hookup. I hope if and when he gets out they run away to Mexico or whatever together. I think its crazy that she still changed the lock, she knows whats going on thers no doubt. But I guess next week will tell.

Oh and I knew Nick was a punk. He's selling them all out

Thanks to TiVo and a 5-month-old baby, I'm getting to the conversation a little late.

My guess is that Michael "confided" in Tweener knowing exactly what would happen. He needed the concrete above the hole to be broken up and used Bellick to accomplish that task.

What Linc's dad said that "we have a cause, we had a cause" that sounded like something Nick said a while back. I wonder if Nick and Lincoln's dad are somehow connected also.

the burn was always on the right sholder blade.

so how many episodes are left now? i just assumed the 'prison break' would be the final episode of the season. im sorta waiting for the escape and ensuing fugitive-like season.

Also, did anyone notice that the burn on Michael's back moved in this episode?

Before, it was in the middle of his back.
In last night's episode, it was on the right side of his back..

Best lines of the night:

Avocado (to Tweener): Address me formally.

Tweener: Yes sir, Mr. Bollz-Johnson.

Get it? Balls? Johnson? sly sexual humor in this show...

Its looks to me like Tweener is in on it by telling Bellick, I think that they're going to capture Bellick somehow, maybe when if confronts them. Either way I think they're gonna use Bellick to get Lincoln out of lock down, perhaps even use his uniform.
