Lost second season DVDs coming September 5

by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 27th 2006 12:24PM
LostHeck, the second season isn't even over yet and here we are with news about the DVD set. Buena Vista Entertainment has tentatively scheduled the second season set to be released on September 5.

Which means it will be timed perfectly for you to watch the last episode of the season over and over and over again in slow motion and freeze frame, trying to figure out the season-ending cliffhanger in time for the third season opener that will happen in late September.

So long as its got bloopers, widescreen format, and a documentary of Michelle's time in jail (along with a photo spread of Emilie and Maggie), I really don't care about the release date.

It takes them that long because the process of laying down the reruns on the other side of the disc is very time consuming. You can opt out of the reruns once you actually email ABC-TV.com and pitch your bitch. Season 2's DVD will have different format wherein at the end of each episode the disc goes back to the main menu and asks "view rerun next" ?

i guess this is good since one will have a few weeks to watch season 2 before season 3 starts. Why do the networks always wait so long to put the dvd's of shows out? Wouldn't it make sense for people who want to watch season 3 to have at least part of the summer to catch up? HBO is horrible at this. They put out the dvd's a week before the new season starts...as ron burgundy would say, "that's just dumb".

I thought that's what ABC was doing right now ;-)

If I buy this, will they send me 3 episodes at a time and wait 3 weeks between shipments? Then I can have the Lost TV broadcast experience
