24: 2:00am - 3:00am

24 - Buchanan(S05E20) Well, it looks like we're finally going to see if President Logan really is the cutthroat he appears to be when next week's action gets underway. We already know he doesn't have enough in him to be truthful to his wife all this time, but he most certainly has enough backbone to try and make himself look like the best thing since sliced bread, or at least David Palmer. As it turns out, Jack's foray into the baggage compartment wasn't as completely random as it seemed when he managed to subvert security last week. I find it a bit out of control that he managed to pop up through the floor when no one was walking by, but I guess we have to let a little bit of reality go when watching 24, huh.

As frustrating as Chloe's personality is to deal with, it's pretty clear that she will continue to be the woman in Jack's life that really keeps his clock ticking, even if she's not the one sleeping with him at the moment. It's also super apparent that she's either one of the more smart people I've ever come across on a television show, or she just gets a lot of credit for knowing which sockets to open.

Now I could be wrong, but Mrs. Logan (OMG I almost wrote Sherry) might not make it through this season. I could certainly see her doing in Logan to keep him from finalizing his dastardly plan, but I could probably see the reverse just as much. Well, except she doesn't have a dastardly plan, at least as far as I can tell. It's getting harder to believe that this is the same show that started off with terrorists hitting an airport and whacking CTU agents, but apparently it is. I've also got this sneaking suspicion that there is more to come from the terrorist boys and Henderson than just the foiled nerve gas and such.

Does Chloe's zapping of the annoying, drunk hotel bar patron (twice, no less) while she's getting her VoIP on with Jack win for the wackiest moment for this show of the season so far (or maybe for FOX as a whole), or does Jack's killing of a terrorist with his Treo still take the cake? I don't know about you, but the look on her face was flat out priceless. Yet again, this was an episode that would have been fun to watch with government employees in the areas that CTU and Homeland Security cover, just to see if everyone is as easily swayed as every single boss of these organizations, because Karen most certainly swung the other direction, or maybe she just has a small thing for Bill Buchanan.

This all leads us to what might be the most important "I've got Jack Bauer, what have you got?" question out there. Is it possible for him to either keep a plane not made for evasive maneuvers from crashing, or survive a missile strike on an airliner, only to save the day? It's not every day the President of the United States is told to shoot down a plane, and apparently goes through with it, when attempting to save his own skin, right?

I want to know where jack got the magical hoodie that gives him all the powers because I'd like to buy one. For example ,he pulled it over his head to protect him from the gas at CTU,he also pulled it up to make him invisible to anyone when he walked into the cargo compartment. Does anyone remeber if he pulled it up a few seasons ago when he ducked behind the rock in the desert to stay safe from the nuke explosion.? Havent seen one in the KMART circular. Maybe on EBAY.....

"How hard would it have been to jump out of the car right before it went off the cliff?"

...Didn't Kim magically eject herself from a car in Season 1?

"The Bluetooth Gangsta says, "we just picked up a call from Chloe O'Brien to Karen Hayes"

-- How did they "pick up" this call? Didn't Karen secured the room? And if they had tapped Chloe's phone before would they not have been privy to all everything thats happened for the past 2 hours?
Could this "pick up" have something to do with Taser man at the bar?
Also, promo for next week clearly shows Buchanan standing in a conference room, uncuffed. I wonder how that happens...

"The million dollar question is:
In the season finale, who kills Logan? Mike Novik? Wayne Palmer? Jack Bauer? Agent Pierce? Mrs Logan?"

You forgot one. President Logan. In order to avoid the shame and humiliation of what is to come, I see Logan offing himself in the finale.

I think I read somewhere that Jack "lands" the plane on the freeway and that this was one of the most expensive special effect they had ever done. Well we'll see next week how it all plays out.

I am going to guess that:
Jack brings the plane in low and slow over the ocean, and either crash-lands it, or figures out some way to make an exit that doesn't kill him.

Also: The Bluetooth Gangsta says, "we just picked up a call from Chloe O'Brien to Karen Hayes" which means that the President and his munchkins know that CTU knows about the recording. Which means that Karen is now a threat to Logan.

The million dollar question is:
In the season finale, who kills Logan? Mike Novik? Wayne Palmer? Jack Bauer? Agent Pierce? Mrs Logan?

I'd put money down that Heller is not dead. In the TV Guide preview for an upcoming episode it says "Audrey finds out some good news". Unless that means she's pregnant with Jack's baby, I'll bet Heller is still alive. How hard would it have been to jump out of the car right before it went off the cliff?

"like why hasnt anyone found out about heller yet?"

Everyone at the presidential compound assumed Heller resigned after Logan turned the tables on him. ALso keep in mind that in 24 time he died an hour and a half ago. His daughter is on route to CTU where she will brief them about his death most likely.

"what happened to wayne palmer?"

Buchanon most likely took him to a safe house per Jacks instruction.

"aaron of course?"

That really isn't a plot hole. They said he was reassigned, so it is likely a mystery that will be resolved before the last episode.

"and how bout evelyn and her daughter?"

I feel it's safe to assume that they are both dead. If Henderson was true to form, he would have killed them once he got the answers he was looking for. I am guessing Fox did not want to air the cold blooded execution of a child and her mother.

"but for now......do you think now that jack has the tape again....he will just play it over the phone for chloe or katherine to tape????"

For legal reasons, he may need the original. Sure a copy would be the end of his political career, but if Evelyn got the recording directly from the archives, the same archive that Mrs Logan took a recording from, where Walt stole it back, then that may be considered irrefutable evidence to convict him since it would stand up to examination and one couldn't argue that it was spliced or put together.
