You can take the actor out of the mob, but...

john ventimiglia; the sopranosMan, these actors from The Sopranos just can't stay out of trouble. In real life, I mean. Now, two more members of the cast have had separate run-ins with the law. John Ventimiglia, who plays chef Artie Bucco, is charged with drunk driving and drug possession. Officers pulled him over as he was weaving in and out of traffic in Brooklyn. He had a blood-alcohol level of .12 (legal limit is .08) and a bag with cocaine residue. He was arraigned yesterday, and today his attorney released a statement saying that Ventimiglia "feels terrible and embarrassed."

Meanwhile in Queens, actor Louis Gross, who plays bodyguard Perry Annunziata, is charged with criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into a woman's apartment. In true mobster fashion, Gross says, "I don't know nothing." Is he talking about the crime or himself?

CNN was kind enough to make a list of the other Sopranos actors who've been arrested:

  • Lillo Brancato Jr. is charged with killing an off-duty police officer during a robbery.
  • Vincent Pastore, who plays Sal Bompensiero, pleaded guilty last year to abusing his girlfriend.
  • Robert Iler, who plays Anthony Soprano Jr., is on three years' probation after pleading guilty to mugging two youngsters and stealing $40 from them.

Maria - Louis Gross's great-grandfather, Luigi Iogrosse, was born around 1871 in a small town near Benevento, Italy. His great-grandmother, Mary Iatomase, born around 1887, was from Telese, Italy. And so much of what is being written in the media about Louis Gross is false.

Hey what about Vito ??? That can't be just an Italian thing. I think I should be able to watch one show without 2 men or women getting it on. Hey let me know writers and producers when your gonna put those scenes in the script. I will change the channel and watch I Love Lucy !!!!!

If there wasn't ounce of truth in stereotyping.
There wouldn't be any!

Oh it's no suprise to me that Italians or anyone associated with Italians get themselves into trouble. Before, someone said that it's because they're actors. Okay, let me see the cast members of Prison Break get into the same kind of trouble. I grew up in New Rochelle, NY (a Westchester County suburb outside of Manhattan and close to the Bronx), where Italians get away with alot of crimes, especially because the former mayor is Italian, alot of the police and police detectives are Italian, and alot of the government authorities in New Rochelle or around New Rochelle (like Yonkers) are mostly Italian. You wouldn't believe the crimes that Iona College students (one of the worst colleges in history) get away with. You have the most rotten of the rotten kids go there (not all, but a majority). And guess who are the council members of Iona College? Mostly Italian. Guess who else is on their council, and donating tons of money to them? A Soprano actor. Yup that's right. Our former District Attorney, Jeannine Pirro (who is married to an Italian, but I think is Lebanese or something herself) has a husband who has been in jail, has been involved with the Mob, is being spied on by the FBI, has been charged with tax fraud, has had an affair and an illegitimate child in FL, and lives the luxurious life. And might I add, her hisband is a real estate agent or tax broker to Donald Trump. Not a good idea, Trumpster.
