Oprah to appear on The View

by Adam Finley, posted May 4th 2006 2:05PM
oprahOn May 12, talk show host Oprah Winfrey will appear on The View for the first time. It's unknown as to whether the Big O will merely walk onto the set, or if she'll beam down from the heavens on millions of beams of pure light and energy while cherubs festoon her head with garlands and the audience shields its eyes from her holy radiance. Either way, I won't be watching, but I'm sure the ladies of The View will be thrilled to have her on. Oprah will be there to promote her upcoming special, Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball, which will air three days later on May 15 at 8 p.m. The special will focus on accomplishments made by African-American women over the years.

I know having Rosie as a host on the View is the wrong choice. She has a loud mouth, obnixious and out of her leaque with these women. Maybe Rosie and Barbara can have their own show so Barbara can see what a loud mouth Rosie is. I can't stand Rosie. I will not be watching The view anymore. As for Star leaving well, Good things come to those who wait on the Lord. So what if she had surgery to lose weight some overweight people need that extra help. Those of you complaining about her weight, I bet you are not overweight. So what!!! So what if she had surgery. Did you pay for it?

Star Jones...never cared for her, fat, skinny doesn't matter her personality bites! If she can't monopolize a conversation she's...oh I'm sorry did I say "CAN'T" we all know she CAN and DOES and that is one of the many reasons why I CAN'T stand her! I don't watch the view because she's on it, guess I CAN watch it now!

Barbara Walters wanted a mixed bag of women "with diffrent Views" well, she will have them.

Rosie...a white, Irish, 40 something rug muncher.
Star... a black, 40 something bitch, who married a fag. Joy, a white, Italian 60-ish smart ass, wannabe stand up comic. Elizabeth a white, 20 something, air head who is in love with George W. Bush.
And Barbara..a jewish, 70 ish, prude who sucks up to A list Hollywood.
And F*CK OPRAH, I'M SO SICK OF HER SHOVING HER WEALTH DOWN OUR THROATS!

Joy is the only reason I'll be watching after Meradeth leaves, I'm really going to miss her. Star and Elizabeth should be fired! Lets bring a new crew in and see what the show can offer to us all. We really don't need a Bush lover on a show that tries to help and inform women.

I think Rosie is a good pick, but I wonder if she'll clash with Joy Behar? And I, too, cannot wait to see that hypocritical Star Jones outta there! Talk about an egotistical loudmouth! Just my opinion...

I quite frankly do not feel Rosie is the right replacement for Meredith, but i will watch the view with an open mind. Rosie seems too crude and loud. Also, it's quite a shame that sexuality has to be a topic. I myself feel that God made male and female to be different for a purpose....food for thought.

What does Star have to be "egotistical" about? She's gross.

I have been watching since the show was established. I have always liked the diversity. All of the women at some time has presented issues or made comments that I didn't agree with. In no way has it changed my belief in it as a means of information and entertainment. I am in no way a Star Jones fan. But I do respect her for the things that she has contributed. I respect her for making the changes in her life that she feels will improve her as the person that she wants to be. I have never heard of any vicious comments that this woman has made publicly toward anyone else. Ms O'Donnell on the other hand, has never missed an opportunity to take a cheap shot. Kirstie Alley & Star Jones have both endured her jealous rantings about their weight losses. Yes, it is clear that Ms O'Donnell is not happy. As the saying goes misery loves company. She will bring chaos to the view!

As an occasional watcher of The View, I can make say this: Starr was a much happier, vibrant, and important element to the team when she was overweight. Now she looks emaciated and, frankly, either bored or secretly wishing to inhale a Big Mac. Rosie wouldn't be my pick - but that's TV for ya.

What's next? I was told from a source who knows a crew member on the View that they are trying "get Elizabeth off the show because 'she likes Bush'.....Oh, so The View is supposed to now be "the view" of an all liberal cast?

Guess I will be getting more done around the house because quite frankly, Rose O. has become obnoxious. she has been a set-back for "her cause" because she is saying "hey, I am rich and famous and everyone will lsten and watch me and do what I say..."
Goodbye "The View" been nice knowin' ya when you were worth watching.
