Gene, the machine who dances
Hey, are you enjoying your Sunday? Yeah, me neither. This is always the most boring day of the week. There's usually nothing good on television during the day, and once you've come home from church, done the New York Times crossword puzzle, and swiped the last jelly donut, there's not much to do except sit around and paint your toenails. Or, you could take a lesson from Gene Patton and dance like there's no tomorrow. While fighting off the boredom that is a part of every Sunday, I found a great classic clip from The Gong Show of Gene Patton, a stagehand on the show better known as "Gene Gene the Dancing Machine." In this clip, Gene spreads the disease known as "happy feet" throughout the studio. Tragically, Patton lost both his legs in 2001 to diabetes. Regardless, I think he'd still tell you to cut a rug, no matter how bad you are (just watch Chuck Barris). If this doesn't make you get up and dance, or at least stare at your computer screen with your mouth agape, then I don't know what else I can do for you. Anyway, enjoy the clip after the jump.
