Prison Break: Go

by Keith McDuffee, posted May 9th 2006 12:17AM
prison break(S01E21) Alright, now this is what I'm talking about. The entire hour of this episode was tense. Couldn't you feel it? It made the long season leading up to this point worth it. Heck, even some of the scenes with Nick and Veronica were worth watching. Well, the last scenes with Nick, at least.

You know, I was actually a little surprised that Pope was so angry at Michael right from the start, though that was a little more realistic of a reaction. I had thought he'd at least try to talk Michael down, or maybe just cooperate. And if Michael had put Pope's line on a pay porn phone line, there's no way the secretary would've interrupted him; she'd be horrified and probably just leave. And hell, I'd find it damned funny.

I guess now we've got to wonder what T-Bag is going to do with those chains he snagged from the phych ward. One thing I can see happening is he'll run to the plane and handcuff himself to it, forcing them to take him along through to the end. Or maybe he'll just lock someone up in the woods in order to free up a seat.

Here's where I'm a little confused. The guy who shot Nick and his father ... was he the same guy who fell into that well many episodes back? The one we were to believe was that dead body? Maybe I nodded off during the Nick-Veronica scenes (like I sometimes can't help to do), but he looked familiar in that way to me. Even still, that was one intense scene. It's not often you see someone gunning people down so easily on TV without someone getting away somehow.

We've also seen that Michael now knows of Tweener's treachery, and he's doing all of this to settle his dues. Will he help again once he's on the outside, or will he really just walk off into the sunset?

So now Michael, C-Note, T-Bag and the Mexican Puerto Rican dude heard where "Westmoreland's" $5 millon is. Of course that sets us up for a race to find that money next season. You could see the look of pure greed in T-Bag's eyes when he heard about that. "Plenty to split" ... please.

Oh yeah, and now Haywire's one of the group. That'll be ... interesting.

Just wanted to let Mo know that I was thinking of "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" during that scene where Westmoreland spilled the beans, too. It was at some "Double K" place, wasn't it? Reminded me of the "Big W". It definitely felt like a "setting up Season 2" moment.
Great episode, too! (But come on...T-Bag would have DEFINITELY killed Bellick)

Our wonderful president has scheduled a speech for Monday night at 8pm from the Oval Office. Do you think this will preemt Prison Break and other Monday shows? Or will the networks stick to the regular programs?

Yeah, handcuffing yourself to the guy who wants you dead. Good idea ;p

Abruzzi can't kill T-Bag or he'll be dead weight, and everybody wants him dead, if everybody wants you dead and you're desperate what would you do?

I would say that this was THE BEST episode of the season, but there were several great episodes before the show went to a hiatus. But this is definitely one of the best and unforgetable ones.

I actually never felt so addicted and so into any other show the way I feel about Prison Break. There is something about this show and its characters that makes you very excited and interested in it.

So not sure about the episode, but Prison Break is definitely THE BEST show ever made and shown on TV.

I really hope that this show will have a 3rd, 4th, 5th seasons and so on, 'cause it has a great potential.

"Actually, if you pause through the scenes from the next show it's clear that T-Bag handcuffs himself to Michael...If I were him I'd handcuff myself to Abruzzi, after getting through the walls he has all the power."

Yeah, handcuffing yourself to the guy who wants you dead. Good idea ;p

to ben and to all of the other people that were tormenting the guy about political correctness- shut the hell up. who cares? no one has issues calling white people 'white'- so why should any other race be any different? sorry, but thats one of my more major pet peeves. i actually havent even seen the episode yet (DVR plus TOO MUCH TO DO equals ZERO TIME!!!)thanks, and i hope that no one is TOO offended by my 'grrr'ness,

"Michael at the keypad: was I the only one thinking of permutations at that scene?"
