Lady wins tea with Ashley Olsen for $5000

Ashley OlsenI guess getting money for schools has changed a lot since I was a kid.

A woman named Wendy Halperin won an afternoon tea with Ashley Olsen by bidding $5000 at P.S. 87 in Greenwich Village. She was bidding for her 6 year old daughter, who will go to tea with Olsen. An auction at another school, P.S. 41, raised $130,000, so these are big-time auctions we're talking about.

Now, was Ashley the one who it was rumored to have an eating disorder, or was it Mary-Kate? If it was, I wonder if this "tea" would count as an entire meal?

It should also be noted that high tea is, in fact, a pretty huge meal. You get sandwiches, cookies, cakes and all manner of little chocolates. If I decide to do sunday tea I skip dinner because I leave so stuffed. It's not just a pot of tea and a biscuit.

Minor quibble, but Tea with Ashley was actually auctioned off for PS 87 (on Manhattan's Upper West Side) not PS 41. The article states this in the 4th paragraph.

If you were a true reporter you would have the facts at your disposal. Mary-Kate Olsen Has recovered from her eating disorder. Instead, you have convinced at least one person that you are a writer and they have allowed you to publish caustic remarks in the pretense of humor.

Mary-Kate is the anorexic, and its not a rumor she made it public when she went to rehab.
