Studio 60 trailer now on YouTube

by Richard Keller, posted May 16th 2006 1:07PM

matthew perry; bradley whitford; studio 60 on sunset strip; aaron sorkinAt the end of Sunday night's series finale of The West Wing, NBC premiered a 30-second preview of the new Aaron Sorkin series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (which I am calling Studio 60 from now on whenever I mention it.). The trailer can now be seen on YouTube in all its glory (or here, after the jump below).

Matthew Perry appears in a scene at the beginning of the trailer, and Bradley Whitford appears in a scene at the end. In between, a list of the show's stars is rattled off. If you notice, there are a number of people who have worked together before. Whitford, Perry and Timothy Busfield all appeared on Sorkin's The West Wing. Perry and Amanda Peet worked together on the film The Whole Nine Yards and its sequel.

Take a gander at the trailer. I think it will get you pumped up for the premier this fall.

I love how they mention all the actors on the show (and most are well knowns, or have decent careers) and then they insert little Nate Corddry.

Good enuf, thanks. I only watch Earl every now and then but I dont miss my boy Steve Carell. So I guess I'll try it for an ep or 2 since it comes on right afterwards.

Mike, 'Studio 60' will come on after 'Earl' and 'The Office'. The schedule will be:

8:00 My Name is Earl
8:30 The Office
9:00 Studio 60
10:00 ER

Well I love Matthew Perry and after seeing the clip I might give it a try. It does come on before Earl and Office right?

I guess I'm in the minority that it's too soon to be seeing Bradley Whitford on TV again? It's not the actor; I was just never a fan of the character Josh. And there was serious overload on his involvement the last two years on 'The West Wing'.

One thing I'm thankful for with the finale - his participation was kept to a minimum.

So I'm just hoping Whitford's new character is miles away from Josh in definition. He's a very good actor so I'm sure he could do it. I just think it's a little too soon to see another Sorkin-created Whitford character...

Amanda Peet and Sarah Paulson were in Jack & Jill...with Jamie Presley. It's six degrees of must see tv. :D

This look like a high quality, well cast show for an intelligent audience. I'm sure we will enjoy all 13 episodes.

I hope they aren't just gonna have the character Whitford plays be Josh-esque, maybe its just too soon after the finale that made me think about that.

Plus, of course, Amanda Peet and Sarah Paulson were in Jack & Jill.
