Six-minute Studio 60 trailer on YouTube

by Joel Keller, posted May 17th 2006 5:51PM
Studio 60Ah, the beauty of YouTube. Yesterday, we told you about how the site had the thirty-second trailer for Studio 60 that was shown during The West Wing's finale. But if that wasn't enough for you, you can now see the entire six-minute trailer for the show that was shown at NBC's upfront presentation on Monday. You can see the video on YouTube's site here (the person who uploaded the clip turned off embedding for this one).

The trailer really makes me want to see the pilot, even if it has the typical Aaron Sorkin preachiness. It looks like it combines the best elements of West Wing and Sports Night into one.

And to whoever grabbed the affiliate feed from the upfront: many, many thanks.

[thanks to Aaron for the tip.]

[UPDATE: The video's been taken down from YouTube due to copyright issues.]

[UPDATE to the UPDATE: Somone else was nice enough to upload the video again. You can see it here.]

Yes because copyright issues have stopped full eps of the new Dr Who from cropping up there....

I'm just saying...

It's still on YouTube just under a different name now. Go search S60 and BW and you should be able to find it.

Good thing I got to watch it because it sold me on watching it. NBC should put it on their site. I am definitely catching CSI in repeats now and saying bye bye to Grey's Anatomy (tv on dvd works for me!)

My g-d they are fast. So silly. I wanna see it! Any other sites have it?

It makes perfect sense. Why would NBC want a boatload of free publicity for a new show staring down the double-barelled shotgun of CSI and Grey's Anatomy? It's outside the box thinking like this that put them in their current position in the first place. Jackasses.

Damn, they've already taken it down. And I was quite excited to get a sneak peek too.

Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford as co-protagonists...with Amanda Peet as their boss to boot?.................................................................................UGH!!!, please forgive the pause, I had to leave my study in a hurry in order to be able to make it to the bathroom before I puked all over my keyboard, forgive me (or not) for being candid, but now I know what I will NOT be watching on Thursdays @ 9:00 PM. Thanks for the warning Joel, I truly appreciate it.

I'm confused, is the Tina Fey show about the exact same topic not happening or what? Becuase, I don't think the American public has room in their hearts for two shows based on the same TV show. What's that term where you think it's so cool to do a TV show about the behind the scenes of different TV show, but it comes off so naval gazing that it makes you wonder if anyone even cares. That thing. It makes my head hurt.

In the pilot script, he's the guy that blows it on live tv and Matt Perry and Brad Whitford replace him. There's nothing saying that he has to be in past the pilot, but there's nothing saying he can't reoccur either.
