Coming soon: the entire M*A*S*H series in one DVD set

MASH dvdHere's the danger of buying TV show DVD sets season by season: for many series, the studio will probably release a collector's edition set, which will include not only all the DVDs, but also extras that weren't on the individual sets.

That's what's happening with M*A*S*H. The same day that FOX announces that they will release the last season of the show in November, they also announce that they are releasing The M*A*S*H Collector's Set, which wll include extras "not  seen anywhere else!" So, if you want those extras, you now have to buy both. Or, if you're tricky, sell your individual sets for some cash and put it towards the new set.

Of course, even that might not be smart, because there might be extras on those individual sets that won't be on the collector's set! Oh, these studios.

I'll get it for sure. As a long time lover of the show and collector of the toys ,props, autographs etc. I will get it for the extras and packaging as well. They still have to release " goodbye, farewell, amen" as well. It ranks up there with the Planet ofthe Apes set. If you didn't buy it for the packaging and complete package you where an idiot if you enjoyed the show.

" So, if you want those extras, you now have to buy both. Or, if you're tricky, sell your individual sets for some cash and put it towards the new set."

Or, just wait until the day after it's released and download the Torrent.

Not that I would advocate that kind of thing, of course.

Yeah. Real cute. Think I'll either: a)rent&copy or b)download. Oh those studios. They just don't understand why we are not loyal to them.

What kind of extras are we going to see on a M*A*S*H set? How they took the shine off David Ogden Stiers' head before every take? Who designed Klinger's dresses? I mean, it's my all-time favorite show, but it's pretty much been examined to death by now.
