Simon & Simon coming to DVD this September

Jameson Parker and Gerald McRaneyFor some reason I never watched Simon & Simon. Oh, I saw the crossover with Magnum, P.I., and it seems like the type of show I'd like, but for some reason I never paid much attention to it in the 80s. I guess I was too busy watching something else at the time, and keeping track of Magnum, Riptide, Moonlighting, and other private eye shows.

But now I can buy the DVDs this September ( and yes, and so can you!). The first season set will have 13 episodes, and since it's Universal the extras will probably be shoddy or non-existent. Still, I love it when these 80s shows come to DVD. I'm still waiting for more.

SIMON & SIMON is my favorite TV show of all time!! The chemistry between the leads, Gerald McRaney and Jameson Parker is amazing. And the supporting cast is very good as well. I will be first in line to buy this DVD! I've waited a LONG time for it.

S&S was pretty good, I loved the multi-faceted approach to entertainment that the writers pulled-off without overdoing anything, it was much more enjoyable than the often over the top Magnum P.I., which I didn't dislike, but found at times rather ridiculous. The DVD set I can't wait for is Crime Story with Dennis Farina, that was one of the coolest shows of the decade, Stingray was pretty decent also, especially for those of us who are Nick Mancuso fans, I'll definitely buy that set also.

My first car was a red Chevy Camaro, because I liked the one on that show so much.
