Lost: Fiction and reality collide tonight on Jimmy Kimmel

by Anna Johns, posted May 24th 2006 8:26AM
jimmy kimmel logoOn Jimmy Kimmel's website, Hugh McIntyre of The Hanso Foundation is scheduled as a guest on Wednesday night (tonight). No other information is given, but over at The Hanso Foundation's website is McIntyre's bio. It doesn't include a photo -- only a question mark -- but lists McIntyre as the "public voice of The Hanso Foundation". He's public relations, people. I imagine he'll go on to bash the book Bad Twin, supposedly written by Gary Troup, one of the people who didn't survive the crash of flight 815. Sawyer has been seen reading the manuscript for Bad Twin on Lost. And it's an actual book that takes aim at the fictional Hanso Foundation.

Anyone else notice that The Hanso Foundation gets a "Thanks to" line in the closing credits of the new Mission: Impossible film.

The plot thickens . . . .

PS: I HATE American Idol and I choose not to torture myself by watching it. Get the hint?

I like the show! What is your problem? If YOU don't like it, DON'T WATCH! Thank you and have a great day! :-)

There will be an hourlong recap show airing at 8 p.m. followed by the two-hour season finale 9-11 p.m. I'm sure TVS will post a reminder when they get the chat room/what's on tonight stuff together.

Hey, could someone tell me if the new episode starts at 9 or 8? Im looking at ABCs schedule for tonight and it has lost from 8 to 11 and I think I heard the first hour is a recap show, but I'm not sure. I need to know so I can cut out of work early, heh. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

Ya know, maybe instead of spending all this time on half-assed books, fake websites, trying to get someone to watch jimmy kimmel's disaster, obnoxious podcasts, cell phone video, video games, etc., they should just fix the freaking show.

I'm sure this is all great fun for the hardcore fans, but the fact that they are hardcore fans should tell you that they are going to watch no matter what. On the other hand, the millions of people that have already left are not coming back because a fictional character shows up to pimp a mediocre book on a bad talk show.

They might come back if they thought the show was going to improve. Maybe the characters were going to quit changing personalities and motivations to fit each episodes plot. Or maybe if they believed that the entire middle of the season was something more than a time suck to get you to may sweeps.

misleading or not, the whole endeavour is fun, creative, and original.. though it still pales in comparison to the granddaddy of these games, the 'a.i.' game.
