No, I am not Jack

by C.K. Sample, III, posted May 25th 2006 1:34PM

Despite the wishes of all you Lost fanatics out there, the above pictured character from last night's Lost episode is not Jack aka Matthew Fox. He may look somewhat like him, but he sounds nothing like him, and if you take the time to read the credits at the end of the show, the actor's name is either Alex Petrovitch and his character's name is Man #2 or Len Cordova and his character's name is Man #1.

From the looks of the IMDb pictures, I'm leaning towards it being Len.

Over at egoplex.com, J.M. Berger posits that most of the people on lost are "bad twins"...that is, clones that don't look alike. That's my new favorite theory. I really don't believe that all these almost-lookalikes aren't part of the story. Check it out: http://www.egoplex.com/2006/02/one-of-them-bad-twins-and-broken.html

I don't believe in an IMDB conspiracy.

It's not Matthew Fox or Jack's twin.

The actor is either Alex Petrovitch or Len Cordova but what IMDB has to say about character names is irrelevent because the data in the IMDB is entirely submited by people like us, possibly including some of us.

Len Cordova is a fictional creation. For those who need proof, here it is.

Note these closeups of his IMdB photo:

All those little square dots are created when somebody makes changes to a graphic image using a program like Photoshop, PhotoPaint, etc.

Len Cordova may not be Matthew Fox, but he's certainly not a real person!

On the latest podcast, Damon and Carlton say that it's NOT Matthew Fox. Then again, lately they've been acting like the Hanso Foundation is real and filing suit against them for defamation, so can we really believe everything they say?

Anagrams for Len Cordova (Cola Vendor - ala the Sprite/Lymon ad); Volcano Red; Can Do Lover; Or Cad Novel --- OK, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, perhaps one of his aliases has a better anagram.

Looks more like Dr Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards) from ER to me.

I agree with IMDB conspiracy. A fake IMDB would be easy to pull off and fits into the Bad Twin tie-in. Look at some of his credits - all of the other actors on those shows are linked to character names - and he isn't. When he is, it's under an alias actor name. Since J.J. created Alias - this seems like a perfect, playful red herring.

Man, I still don't see it. This guy looks nothing like Matthew Fox. He looks as different to Jack as he does to Hurley. I mean there isn't even a passing resemblence. I agree with some of the other posters. A beard does not make a twin. Unless, of course, we are talking Twins like Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Regarding the IMDB conspiracy theory, the guy has been in other stuff other than Lost. Just because he has a pic up doesnt mean much. He probably has one up due to a fanatical lost fan.

On a forum a poster said that this might the producers/writers might have asked IMDB to create this page. I think that it is quite possible because he changed his name way too many times(a real actor wouldn't do that if he wants to be known in the industry) and a lot of the time even major actors don't have their pictures on IMDB yet this pretty much unknown guy has his picture there but there's no birthday...
