Another show to make you feel bad about yourself

Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper of The Biggest LoserI was just watching the season premiere of Celebrity Poker Showdown (it might take an episode or two to get used to Phil Hellmuth taking over for Phil Gordon, and Kevin Sorbo is one of the worst poker players I've ever seen - he lasted about 20 minutes), and they ran a preview for a new show they have coming up this summer, Workout. From what I can tell, it's all about the hot bodies and suntans of the people who live in Los Angeles. Lots of emphasis on six pack abs, pushups, and living the good life. The Bravo site has a short description, and it sounds a lot like Blow Out, only in Jackie Warner and Jillian Michael's gym, Sky Sport and Spa.

It debuts in July, and I don't see myself watching this one. I'd like to say that it would get me motivated to get back into shape, but I'm afraid it will just depress the hell out of me.

Celebrity Poker is great. Well great to watch not good poker. I love seeing the Celebs try to play.

Hellmuth stinks as a poker commentotor but that shouldn't come as a surprise; he lets his ego get in the way doing the job well (always has had), plus he doesn't have the chemistry with Dave Foley that Phil Gordon did.

I don't think Bamber was robbed but only because I think there were ways he could have played the hand before the flop that would have kept most players out. That said the two best players at the table did actually wind up playing head to head.

What tops Kevin Sorbo's horrible poker skills was his devotion to the hostess, who he gave a standing ovation at the table. Then, when in the loser's lounge he pulled her down to the couch, and the look of horror on her face was priceless.

Also, this is just the BSG fanboy in me, but Jamie Bamber was robbed!

Hellmuth sucks.
