My Name Is Earl and The Office nominated for TCA awards

by Joel Keller, posted May 31st 2006 6:35PM
TCA logoIt's been a good year for NBC comedies. Well, at least it's been a good year for My Name Is Earl and The Office. Each show, along with 24 and The Sopranos, has been mominated for three Television Critics Association awards. The Office has been nominated for program of the year, for best comedy series, and Steve Carrell got a nod for comedic performance. Earl has been nominated for new program of the year, for best comedy series, and for Jason Lee's leading performance. It's not a big stretch to say that both shows are going to be under heavy Emmy consideration later this year, so let's hope the TCA awards are just the start for both shows.

(UPDATE: Reader elf sent in a link that contains all the nominees. Here it is.)

I am a BIG fan of "24" and find it to be THE BEST TV action show of all time! I am rivited to my seat each episode. I can't believe "24" isn't the No. 1 show in the ratings. This show should definitely win any award it is up for. WHAT A SHOW!!!
