Tom Shales leaving The Washington Post

If you were to name the five biggest TV critics in the country, Tom Shales would be right up there. (I'm pretty sure the other four slots would be taken up by people here at TV Squad.) He even won a Pulitzer for his work and co-authored the book on the right.

It was announced yesterday that Tom Shales has accepted the buyout offered by his paper, The Washington Post. He joins 69 other people who decided to accept the offer.

Shales will continue to write for the paper while he's still under contract.
