About that missing episode of The Tick

by Adam Finley, posted Jun 5th 2006 5:22PM
the tickHey, remember a few days ago when I told you the first season of The Tick animated series would be coming out at the end of August, but that it would be missing an episode? Well, we now know that the missing episode is "The Tick vs. The Mole Men," which was written by Christopher McCulloch, aka "Jackson Publick," the creator of The Venture Brothers.  And what is the reason for this episode being left out of the DVD release? Well, there isn't one, at least not one that should satisfy Tick fans. This vague explanation from Disney is all we have: "Due to creative considerations episode 11 ( 'The Tick vs. The Mole Men') is not included. However, we hope to include it in furture Tick releases." So there you have it, folks, "creative considerations," two words that explain everything and yet tell us absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, Tick lovers should click here. You'll be happy you did, I promise.

they don't want to be sued by Marvel. Mole Men is too close to the character "Mole Man".
