If anyone deserves to be nominated for an Emmy on BSG, it would definately have to be the talented, gifted actress Grace Park. In my opinion, she is a major (If not the) reason BSG is the succsess it is.

This is the best show created in a very long time. The depth of the characters and writing has been quite a pleasant surprise. Please keep making more!!!

The worst thing that can happen to an "uber dope" show, with a built in audience, unrestricted creative writers such as BSG, is for it to try to appeal to the masses. Viewers who are interested, or have the potential to be interested in a show like BSG, don't need bledgeoned over the head with it by NBC or any other major network. The "big three" very rarely find programming of the consistent quality and brilliance of it's production. There are too many "powers that be" involved in the creative process. If one doesn't have accesss to cable and the Sci-Fi channel, I am truely sorry. However, I'm cool with the fact that the Sci-fi channel hasn't prostituted one of the most superbly written and cast shows on television, just so a few more viewers can have access to it. The creative brilliance of BSG speaks for itself, and the Sci-fi channel know that.

Missed this article on Monday but saw the link from today's Stewart piece....BSG IS one of the best shows on television and for all the critical acclaim it receives, deserves to be respected by the Emmy Selection Committee....EJO already won one for Miami Vice, the selection committee should be able to recognize excellence when it is staring them in the face....

In all seriousness I would die if BG was nominated for any of the major categories. It stands up against if not rises above many of the dramas on network tv today.

I don't think this should move to NBC. It basically anchors the entire scifi network and brings it big cash. Moving it to NBC makes zero sense. Although I'd love SciFi to go HD and add some more shows not in the Stargate franchise.
As for the nominations, while both leads do a good job I think Tricia Helfer and James Callis are clearly the actors that could win for their roles.

SciFi is 110% behind Galactica. The move to october shows that they have such confidince in the show that it can carry ratings up against regular network TV. Plus, the arc storyline gets told better with less of a break. in between.

The show damn well deserves the nominations and shouldn;t have to campaign. No matter where this show airs and regardles of ratings, it's one of the best on television. A win might be pushing it; although, I think Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos are very deserving. Just getting the nomination could bring much-needed publicity to the show. The move to October makes me think Sci-Fi isn't as behind the show as it once was. Of course, Sci-Fi hasn't been in very good shape since they joined the NBC "family."

Well, BSG is one of the best shows on television right now (or, it will be when it returns IN OCTOBER [seriously: October!]). It seems like an uphill battle for them, though--not only are they a sci-fi series, but they're way out in extended basic cable land. If NBC (it is NBC that owns SciFi, right?) had any sense, they'd be running selections from seasons 1 and 2 during the summer to maybe drum up some more "mainstream" support-- it's not like they can do any worse than they are right now.
