Something else to keep Lost fans busy

by Jonathan Toomey, posted Jun 22nd 2006 3:25PM

LostIf you feel like wasting some time at work today, might want to check out this Lost link. It brings you to an image of the island, and with some careful studying, you can pull out some hidden images. Once you crack all eight, you get treated to a deleted scene from early in season two. I'm assuming this is part of that whole Lost Experience thing that's been going on.

Of course, if you're lazy, I've listed the eight passwords after the jump along with a description of the deleted scene.

[Thanks to James for sending this to us!]

The eight passwords are:

  1. gun
  2. horse
  3. Sun
  4. Jack
  5. Locke
  6. others
  7. Sayid
  8. Vincent

The scene isn't anything special. It's a conversation between Libby and Sayid, when Sayid was tied to a tree following Shannon's death. It was nothing revealing at all, but it kept me occupied for half an hour. Anyone think there's more importance to this scene that I'm missing out on?

Has anybody else noticed that after you type in 4 8 15 16 23 42 and hit execute, it goes to 108|00 but on its way back it goes to 238|42?

Jack's face is below Sayid. Sun's face is in the tree life on the left, the horse is dead center in the middle at the bottom. Lockes face is just slightly below and to the left of sayid. I do not see the others anywhere... but I wonder if that is the point, that you don't see the others in the jungle even tho they are there.

Sayid is in the brightly coloured fern. top right hand side of the jungle, vincent is in the clouds - look for an oddly coloured patch of blue sky top right, thats his nose.
The gun is a shillouette on the plant in the bottom left corner, as for the rest, go figure... Although I think some bright pixels in the dark area near left-middle might be jack, but its a long shot

Ok, i've been staring at this image of half an hour and I can't find vincent, others or sayid. Can someone point out where these 3 are hiding?

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stuart Mill

Libby & Ana Lucia were both others. Now they are dead.
Maybe the others should rethink what they're doing.
Although they won't, because the others/dharma etc. are in the kind of business where they themselves are tricked into risking their lives for other people's gains. Can you guess what that business is?

If you look when Libby says "You're supposed to say that's ridiculous" something small flies behind her, it's going too fast and too 'side ways' to be a leaf and even if it was. I don't see why they used that shot if you had something like that drawing your eye from her unless they wanted it. It would have been cut out in editting or put in there?

Dianne,

He didn't miss his line... The point of the pause is specifically to emphasize the fact that he would kill Ana Lucia, if given the chance at the time.
