Marcia Cross got married

marcia crossMarcia Cross, who plays Bree on Desperate Housewives, may have gotten married over the weekend. According to People magazine, Cross married stockbroker Tom Mahoney on Saturday in San Gabriel, California.

If the news is accurate, she chose a good weekend to tie the knot. From the sounds of it, all the paparazzi made the trip to Sydney, Australia for these nuptials.

Isn't this the housewife who, in real lie, admitted to being desperate to find a mate back during season one of DH?

Happy for her but hope her marriage doesn't mirror hers on the show. Yikes!

Marcia and Tom did indeed get married over the weekend in a fairy tale of a wedding and reception. In fact, the events at the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena began on Friday evening and continued with a private brunch farewell with family and friends on Sunday. Security was excellent, so I am sure photos will be released shortly by the couple. They are very happy and were surrounded by family and close friends for the weekend celebrations. The ceremony was lovely and Marcia was escorted by BOTH her mother and father, preceded down the aisle by seven adorable flower girls, the first ones a little timid and crying, but later coaxed into the role. We were impressed by the well-coordinated efforts of Julie Pryor who planned everything from the weekend itinerary, the monogrammed beach bags with many goodies in each guest's hotel room to the pillow cases on our beds which said, "Sweet Dreams love, Marcia and Tom" when we all got back to our rooms at midnight following the fantasy wedding reception! The white draped ballroom where cocktails and hors d'oevres were served was spectacular. Marcia and Tom arrived to applause and hugs and we all raised our glasses to them before going into the second ballroom with our table cards. An amazing 15 piece band played for hours and kept everyone dancing even while the many courses were being served. Several toasts were given by the best man and several of Marcia's friends. Lovely sentiments to a lovely couple destined for a long and happy marriage!
