Check out the quick change artists on America's Got Talent - VIDEO

Regis PhilbinI remember seeing the classic magic trick Metamorphosis performed by several magicans over the years. It's the one where there's a giant box, and the woman assistant is tied up, put in a bag, and then put the box, which is then padlocked. The magician stands up on the box, puts a curtain around him, and in only two seconds, the two switch positions. He's now in the box, tied up in the bag, and the assistant is on top of the box.

That came to mind after watching this. It's two quick change artists from America's Got Talent. They change clothing very quickly, while moving, in real time, in front of an audience. While you can come up with explanations for Metamorphosis (and that masked magician explained the trick on one of those TV specials a few years back), I can't figure out how the hell they did this. Any guesses?

One thing's for sure though. Madonna and Cher should hire these two for future tours.

I can't say with total certainty - but I think that it is a mixture of quick release clothes (like strippers wear - the seams are loosely stitched and the whole outfit is one piece and therefore can be pulled off in one go) e.g. look how baggy the man's black suit looks and the girl's different dresses are folded into her chest, each one being released by a fastening and then it cascades down on top of the previous one.

If you watch at the end before he showers the confetti she actually puts one hand in position ready to release the fastening. Still pretty amazing though!

did you guys watch the two girls sing? 9 and 11 respectively? my favorites to win the million dollars!
they can put some of the american idol performances to shame!

I've got season tickets for the Bulls and these two have been the half time entertainment half a dozen times over the last few years. I've seen them from above at a high angle, through binoculars, on a jumbotron... knowing what their routine is so I could look for specific things... I still don't have the first clue how they do it.

I don't have the slightest bit of interest in this show, but my boss showed me this video the other day. Not bad, but the clip of the ventriloquist doing bad-japanese-dub was way cooler.
