My Dwight Schrute bobblehead arrives... in two pieces

by Anna Johns, posted Jul 12th 2006 11:46AM
dwight schrute bobblehead dollMy Dwight Schrute bobblehead doll arrived in the mail today with a severed head. It was a clean cut: right at the shoulders. I called NBC's customer service department about a replacement and it turns out they're on back order until mid-August. Rats! I just got a new office space that has room on the desk for Dwight, the one and only bobblehead doll I ever plan on buying.

On a side note, besides the severed head, the bobblehead doll actually seems to be pretty high quality. It looks ceramic, but it's plastic. Dwight's neck must be too thin for travel because his head is pretty heavy. Anybody else have this problem?

Oh I'm so sorry that your bobblehead died. Mine is all in one piece. Sorry to rub it in.

A moment of silence for your Dwight K. Schrute bobblehead. That sucks!! I would offer to send you mine, but then who would keep me company while I watch TV, or ride in my car, or while I go for my morning run. Yeah, I really like my bobblehead :)

I ordered one on Fathers' Day, just received mine and it arrived without any problems. Looks great on my desk.

My Dwight arrived in one piece. Infact he's nodding at me right now.

It's all perspective. Don't think of it as 'My Dwight bobblehead is broken.' Think of it as having your very own Michael's Dwight bobblehead. :D

I ordered and received three Bobbleheads and they all arrived in one piece. However, I have had a few readers let me know that their were also broken. Like yours, their neck broke, but not their spring, so they usually superglued it back on while they waited for the replacement.

We're big fans of the Dwight Bobblehead and LITO. IF you get yours glued, snap a photo of the little guy in your city and send it in to our Schrute Travels features.
