Kelly Clarkson getting her own HBO concert

kelly clarksonKelly Clarkson just joined the ranks of Madonna and U2. OK, she joined their ranks earlier this year when she won two Emmys Grammys, but now she is also signed on to a concert for HBO. The performance will be recorded at London's Wembley Arena on Feb. 3. The concert will feature her popular hits, Miss Independent, Since You Been Gone, and Breakaway, as well as songs from her new album, which coincidentally comes out in February. The E! announcement doesn't say whether the concert will be aired live or on tape.

This is good news for people like me who are fans of Kelly but are probably too old to feel comfortable at a concert.

I've seen her twice so far and to say that she's the best act ever would be an understatement! I've seen a fair few greats in my time, U2, Greenday, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, No Doubt, Muse, The Darkness, Foo Fighters, Basement Jaxx, Pink, Black Eye Peas... need I go on? And Kelly Clarkson beats them all hands down. I can't wait for February. I'm just praying I hear about the tickets going on sale in time.

Kelly Clarkson is AMAZING live! I have seen her 4 times and I can tell you she is unbelievable. Now, what's interesting is, you all are saying you're in your 30's or 40's but too old to be at her concerts, that is NOT true. Every concert of hers that I have been to have people ranged from age 5 to 70. I have seen all ages of people, MOST of the people are 15-25 but there is a GOOD number of people who are in their 30s or 40s. She appeals to all age groups and I highly recommend going to see her live, you won't regret it!

Hey, What is this, age is nothing and to say you are ashamed of being a fan! I'm in my thirties and I love music and would never turn down the opportunity to go to a concert, especially a Kelly Clarkson gig, come on. The girl rocks and she has inspired alot of people along the way. I often feel disadvantaged living in the north of Scotland, very few artists venture this far, grab the opportunity whilst you can, Kelly Clarkson is amazing!

Of all the Idol winners, she's the only one I can name. I still don't care for her music, even though Miss Independance constantly gets stuck in my head. Wrap her in black leather so she looks like a biker bitch, get her to sing some metal tunes, and I'll change my tune. Hell, just get her to do the biker bitch thing.

Wooo-hooo! I agree that I'm almost ashamed to say I'm a huge fan. I also feel to old (officially entered mid 30s last week - 34) to check out her concerts. Plus, I'm a total alternative music gal. I don't know what it is...I just really like the chick. My husband is as big a fan as well, and he doesn't normally get giddy about music acts the way I do. Since the moment we saw her on AI, we were hooked. We saw her live once, and that's only because she was the halftime entertainment at the 2003 Orange Bowl, where my Trojans kicked the Sooners' behind! And yes, we gladly joined in on the booing of Ashlee Simpson. She was HORRID! Can't wait for the HBO concert!

I am 34 and going to see her in a few weeks. Kind of ashamed to go, but I've learned that the audiences with young demographics rock, it creates short beer lines!
