Stargate Atlantis: No Man's Land (season premiere)

(S03E01) I always enjoy a good episode of Atlantis. It tends toward the predictable plot line, but it usually veers away from predicable endings. This episode used a few flash backs, but I was pleased that they really jumped back into the story and got it moving almost right away.
Right out of The Empire Strikes Back, we find out that Shep managed to latch on to one of the hive ships before they entered hyperspace. Seriously though, how many times a season does Shep get reported dead? I think we might need to count them. Shep's dead: 1
Next we have Elizabeth being recalled to earth to be interrogated by the obnoxious oversight committee. She seems to have their number, but I would have enjoyed it more if she mouthed off at them a bit more. I was surprised that Weir didn't give her husband a call while she's back. [Update: Ok, maybe she wasn't married, but it seemed like it] Her character has definitely developed from the treaty negotiating diplomat to a hard core leader. (But who wouldn't want some nookie before the possible end of the world?)
It's fun to watch Mikey the wraith change allegiance. You're never quite sure what he'll do after the end of last season. After the group is transported to the ship, the camera didn't show him much love. I started wondering if he was sneaking off to do some sabotage.
The ending comes together with the usual solving the impossible problem. Of course, it'll be interesting to see what they do with all the wraith turned humans. Lord knows what the science geeks will do with their spiffy new half blown apart hive ship. The ship will probably make a great asset, but all the extra humans are going to make an interesting concentration camp setting. Oh, and doesn't the retrovirus wear off? It certainly did with Mikey.
