Big Brother 7: All Stars: Nomination #2
(S04E04) With Kaysar as Head of Household, I was gearing up for fireworks. He has to put the hurt on Boogie and Dr. Will right? It's early enough in the season that he could make a relatively safe choice and not take out a key player but I told myself that one of the things that makes Kaysar a fun player to watch is that he makes bold moves. Consider me disappointed, but more on that later. First, a quick question, when the SeaSick alliance gets together to discuss who should go and did I hear James says that Jase is the James of this season? I still say that James is not trustworthy. And I think Kaysar, Howie and Janelle are very aware of this but at this point it's a question of the devil you know versus the devil you don't.
Everyone has their own strategy for saving themselves from eviction. Erika brings on the flirt when she and Kaysar are playing pool and when he waxes rhapsodic about relationships, she seems a bit swoony. A sexy Jewish girl, a hot Muslim guy, could there be love in the air? But is her show of vulnerability a way to keep herself free from eviction? Too many seasons of Big Brother have made me see every potential showmance as suspect.
Meanwhile Howie and Will trade barbs about wrinkles, paleness and just about everything else. You'd think that with Kaysar in control, Will might not want to threaten his best bud, Howie but Will's m.o. has never been about politeness. Will starts making alliance moves on Jase, schmoozing him with promises of a friendship outside of the house. Will seems to be preparing for his inevitable nomination at the hands of Kaysar.
The food competition has the teams bobbing through slop (looks like oatmeal) to find plastic rats. What is with all the gross challenges thus far? While talking about the pairings for the competition, James refers to Nokomis's body art as prison tattoos. Why is that if Will said that I would find it funny but coming from James it seems offensive? I suppose Will sets himself up as a character so there seems to be less actual malice behind it.
And just when I'm rubbing my hands together in anticipatory glee for the big showdown and Will's nomination, Kaysar calls Boogie and Will into the HoH room for a conference. What's this about? Is he going to tell them they are up for eviction before the ceremony? No, instead he makes the pitch that he will not put them up for eviction this week if they will also not put him up until they remove some of the "floaters" from the house. This seems like a strange move since it's clear that Will and Boogie would put up Kaysar in a New York minute. Kaysar ponders the choices for a while and eventually decides to put Diane and Nokomis on the block. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I realize that Kaysar feels he is doing something ethical by leaving the better players in the game but still, this is ridiculous. Is this strategy or is Kaysar in fact a big chicken?
