Big Brother 7: All Stars: Nomination #2

by Deidre Woollard, posted Jul 17th 2006 8:01AM
big brother(S04E04) With Kaysar as Head of Household, I was gearing up for fireworks. He has to put the hurt on Boogie and Dr. Will right? It's early enough in the season that he could make a relatively safe choice and not take out a key player but I told myself that one of the things that makes Kaysar a fun player to watch is that he makes bold moves. Consider me disappointed, but more on that later.

First, a quick question, when the SeaSick alliance gets together to discuss who should go and did I hear James says that Jase is the James of this season? I still say that James is not trustworthy. And I think Kaysar, Howie and Janelle are very aware of this but at this point it's a question of the devil you know versus the devil you don't.

Everyone has their own strategy for saving themselves from eviction. Erika brings on the flirt when she and Kaysar are playing pool and when he waxes rhapsodic about relationships, she seems a bit swoony. A sexy Jewish girl, a hot Muslim guy, could there be love in the air? But is her show of vulnerability a way to keep herself free from eviction? Too many seasons of Big Brother have made me see every potential showmance as suspect.

Meanwhile Howie and Will trade barbs about wrinkles, paleness and just about everything else. You'd think that with Kaysar in control, Will might not want to threaten his best bud, Howie but Will's m.o. has never been about politeness. Will starts making alliance moves on Jase, schmoozing him with promises of a friendship outside of the house. Will seems to be preparing for his inevitable nomination at the hands of Kaysar.

The food competition has the teams bobbing through slop (looks like oatmeal) to find plastic rats. What is with all the gross challenges thus far? While talking about the pairings for the competition, James refers to Nokomis's body art as prison tattoos. Why is that if Will said that I would find it funny but coming from James it seems offensive? I suppose Will sets himself up as a character so there seems to be less actual malice behind it.

And just when I'm rubbing my hands together in anticipatory glee for the big showdown and Will's nomination, Kaysar calls Boogie and Will into the HoH room for a conference. What's this about? Is he going to tell them they are up for eviction before the ceremony? No, instead he makes the pitch that he will not put them up for eviction this week if they will also not put him up until they remove some of the "floaters" from the house. This seems like a strange move since it's clear that Will and Boogie would put up Kaysar in a New York minute. Kaysar ponders the choices for a while and eventually decides to put Diane and Nokomis on the block. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I realize that Kaysar feels he is doing something ethical by leaving the better players in the game but still, this is ridiculous. Is this strategy or is Kaysar in fact a big chicken?

I am so glad that I'm not the only one who is upset that the "chilltown" bunch is still around. When stuff like this happens, it starts making me feel like the show is fixed. I would be sooo mad to find something like that out. But seeings how S6 has had control every week, they could've easily disposed of Chilltown and then set their sights on the "floaters". I am hoping that Kaysar or Janelle win the whole thing. Marcellas had me ROFLMAO the other night when he was practically drooling about Kaysar. I couldn't agree with him more!

I am tired of Kaysar this year. He should not have left the POV winner to make the decision and Erika missed her opportunity to make a statement. She should have used the POV and then Kaysar would have had to put someone else up. No it's up to next week's HOH to make something worthwhile happen.

It should be Nakomis that goes, because Diane can be used better later on. Nakomis is very competitive. Will and Boogie need to go, but Kaysar should have put one from each alliance up and have them battle it out. He is disappointing me this time and he won't get America's vote next time. Not three strikes for him!

I THINK THAT DIANE HENRY SHOULD BE THE NEXT PERSON TO LEAVE THE BIG BROTHER ALL-STAR HOUSE TOMORROW NIGHT, ACCORDING TO MY PREDICTIONS.

I just want to say that:

I HOPE KAYSAR or JANELLE win it all so the season six FRIENDSHIP, can simmer in that boiling water for a while........:)

They need to get Will and Mike out, by any means necessary..........They are some evil guys!

I like Kaysar. I think he is a decent well spoken guy, but, like last year, he just plain sucks at this game. Sure everyone is gunning for the season sixers, but you take out the big guns first. Will is the biggest gun. Boogie is a hanger on, but at this point Will needs him.

Diane and Erica get too emotional, George is almost a non factor in competition Nakomis has no clear cut alliance and Marsalis is fairly easy to manipulate.

IMO the only ones who ever deserve to win are those who do just about anything to win. I don't view shows like these as reality shows, I view them as game shows and contestants should do anything within the rules to achieve that goal. So far I feel those most deserving to win are Will, James, Danielle, Jase and Nakomis. these are people who would do almost anything to win and won't let emotion or in house friendship get in their way.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the S6 group is getting close to becomming the annoying "friends" group from S6.. all they need is Cappie. Tone it down a bit guys.. it's getting a bit annoying.

So far this year has been great. I think the dynamic personalities of Will, Boogie, Jas vs Howie, Janelle and Kaysar is very interesting.

Will and Boogie are really playing up their "evil villain" roles, and I think they're actually doing a pretty good job of it. (It's funny when they keep claiming to be insulted when they aren't nominated for eviction, because that means the others aren't appreciating how evil and villainous they are.)

But I think this is only partly a game strategy, but more to turn themselves into recognizable "characters" outside the show. After all, Boogie is a Hollywood nightclub impresario who depends on recognizability and famous friends to make his places hot. And Will knows that famous skin doctors make a lot more than ordinary ones. (He was even allowed to make a long argument for the wonders of Botox. Which he's apparently injecting into himself, solving the mystery of why he looks so odd this year.)

Win or lose, these guys are building more than a million bucks' worth of publicity for themselves.
