Big Brother: Veto Ceremony #3

by Deidre Woollard, posted Jul 26th 2006 7:34AM
big brother james (S04E08) There is a whole lot of hostility between James and Chicken George, which seems so random . James has deemed Chicken George not worthy of being an All Star. While I understand this I think that James and Kaysar are playing a very high-minded version of the game. James seems to view the All Star game as some sort of Big Brother master class when it was really just meant to be a ratings grabber. Does someone have to show a lot of respect for the Big Brother game to win it? Does motive matter?

Our veto fighting team is Kaysar, Jase, James, Will, Chicken George and Boogie. Will bails first thing at the prospect of eating slop. Boogie barfs and he's out. The remaining four battle until the choice is to not compete for the veto next week. Jake and James opt out. George and Kaysar both shave their heads (horrifying Marcellas who calls Kaysar the Iraqi Peach and has a huge crush on him). George wins it by volunteering to eat 60 days of slop. The big question is, was this competition rigged so George could win. This veto competition required no skill, only will. The producers know that no one has more heart or willingness to be abjectly humiliated than Chicken George.

With Chicken George off the block someone has to go up. Janelle and others think it's a fine time to get rid of Jase. Jase however does not agree and in a shouting match with Marcellas he tries to prove that Marcellas is secretly running a game on everyone in the house. While Marcellas is catty and playing both sides, he's nowhere near as shifty as Jase.

After the shouting match, George's overly solemn presentation of the veto ceremony is totally laughable. But Will's speech about how he hates everyone and wants to leave is simply delightful. He threatens to throw every competition if they don't vote him out.

So the question is... do you vote someone out who has been itching, twitching and campaigning for eviction since day one and doesn't really seem to care a bit about the game or do you vote out the sidewinder, the abtastic self-conscious poser whose is deeply hungry for the fame and the cash?

What happened to James' strategy to take out a "floater" in order to get the other floaters to take a stand. I wouldn't call Jase a floater. I think he has to go but do think he should go when he has a chance to take himself off the block with the POV. Mike Boogie and Will should be up for evicition - Chill town needs to die.

"IMO it is in three of the season sixers to dump Will."

Oops. That was meant to say :

"IMO it is in the best interest of three of the season sixers to dump Will."

Also,I don't know why Jase considers himself being back doored. I always thought that being backdoored involved purposely not picking someone you wanted off, and then stacking the POV teams so that the two nominees the head of Household and two other comptetitors all agreed to use the POV and then put that person you always wanted off.

The plan was to get George off, but he wound up winning. Jase was just the next choice.

This was a pretty damn good episode IMO. A lot was revealed in terms of strategy. My two favorites are actually Will and James. James almost disappointed me by telling Jase he would rather go up against him man to man instead of putting him up where he could not compete to save himself. This is a terrible strategy. Jase was working both sides and is a physical threat. You don't make deals with him. At least he came to his senses and put him up.

IMO it is in three of the season sixers to dump Will. It is in James' best interest to vote off Jase, because Will never seems to have a grudge against any individual, but Jase never forgets who targeted him.

One question I have, does Kaysar still lose the ability to play for power of Veto? I think all tasks they chose up until they lost still count. It would have been stupid for James or Jase to continue. They are high profile and it would have been dumb to give it up. I was more disappointed in Kaysar. After all he went through, he should have known George would have gone all the way and he gave up POV potential for nothing.

Will was brilliant last night. His decision to say he hates everyone plays the angle that everyone would want to take him to the final two because only a crazy person would vote for him to win. Guess what? This is how he won in BB2. What happens is that by the time the rest of Chilltown is gone, they have to start nominating themselves. People then start to get pissed in their placement in the pecking order. Will then just smirks but doesn't outwardly piss anyone off. By the time of the final vote, everyone is so pissed at their former alliance member they vote for Will to spite them. Brilliant.

I've been trying to think about this since day one. Who WOULD vote for Will if he reached the final 2? I mean really. Maybe Mike. But would the others?

I mean isn't it a valid plan to take Will to the final 2 since who would give it to a DOCTOR who already WON his season. Yes, it could backfire, but I just don't see it.

Especially with these players. They aren't going to think "Oh you gotta respect Will for lasting this long." They're going to think "Will doesn't need the money and do we really want him to be labeled BEST BIG BROTHER CONTESTANT IN THE HISTORY OF BIG BROTHER." Nah, egos and common sense will come into play especially with these players. All in all, Will CANNOT win. Period.

Thus vote out Jase now.

This is the best season, ever! Last night's smack-down between Marcellus and Jase was Great TV. I loved Will's snarky little smiles as they screamed at each other like banshees. Which leads me to say. . . I can't believe people think they can take Will to the end and win (that must be what they think they'll do?). Don't they remember what happened the year he won? HE WON, YOU IDIOTS, and he'll do it again if you don't take him out soon.

Although ratings are down from last, this year's Big Brother is by far the best of the bunch.

I don't think George really came in with a plan, but he's finally realizing he needs to get with the program and work it. Kaysar is the kind of guy women just want to take and protect. He's hot and mostly smart, but how stupid not to put 60 down for days he's willing to eat slop. After having cut my hair off I'd be too depressed for the next 60 days to eat anyway. Kaysar messed that one up.

I have always like James, I thought he was done wrong in season 6 and this is his time to shine. I do believe that James has done Jase wrong. I guess a man's word means nothing in this game. James caved into peer pressure from the rest of season 6. The very people that will put James up for eviction he will bend over and kiss their butt..JAMES IS A PUPPET! Kasyer and the rest of season 6 are pulling the strings. James should have put up Boogie and Will to spilt Chill Town. If they do not vote off Will then Will is the master of this game. Will stands there and tells them he hates them and will throw each event. He doesn't want to be there. Will would rather be sitting in his plush office pushing botox on everyone than kicking back with the ALL STARS.

I'm beginning to really love Chicken George. Good for him for making everyone else in that competition look like a total wuss. He seems like a sweet fella and doesn't deserve the hatred he's getting from the house.
