Rescue Me getting in the way of Nip/Tuck?
Alrighty... now I'm not 100% sure about this, but here's everything I've been able to put together. If anything, it just shows that I have nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon.
I'm sure most have seen the new Nip/Tuck promo running on F/X. The one where Sean and Christian give the Venus DeMilo arms? Kind of clever actually. Anyway, it says Nip/Tuck returns on Tuesday, September 5. However, according to the episode guide on the Rescue Me website, there are supposed to be 15 episodes this season. If that's the case, then Nip/Tuck wouldn't premiere until September 19, two weeks later. That date is confirmed here on this episode list. But at the same time, this article says season three of Rescue Me is only 13 episodes, the same as seasons one and two. So which is it? I'm inclined to believe the promo that's been running. F/X wouldn't run the spot if it was wrong. Right? Unless Rescue Me does indeed have 15 episodes and the show will run back-to-back with Nip/Tuck for two weeks. F/X has never done that with their original hour-longs before, but they're also not strangers to upping season orders either. Season three of The Shield jumped from 13 to 15 episodes. Although, F/X made up for that by dropping season five from 13 to 11 episodes and creating a 10 episode sixth season. Bear in mind that F/X has always aired it's hour-longs on Tuesdays at 10, except for Over*There.
OK, I'm done ranting... anyone else have some thoughts on this?
