CNN hires Fidel Castro's estranged daughter

Alina FernandezWith Cuban president Fidel Castro in failing health -- a few days ago he temporarily ceded power, for the first time since he took power in 1959, to his brother Raul -- CNN decided to hire an expert on the mysterious Communist dictator. So, who better to talk about Castro than his daughter?

The network has brought on Alina Fernandez, who defected from Cuba 13 years ago, as their "Castro expert". Apparently, Fernandez, who was 3 when Castro took over, only had occasional contact with her father over the years, but it was enough for her to write a book about it. She is currently a radio host in Miami, where she's lived since her defection.

How can an "estranged" and "defecter" be an expert not only on Castro but on Cuba????? CNN is trying to increase ratings by promoting "Fidel Castro's daughter"

This woman is crazy.

Several years ago she was doing a live intrview in NYC on CBS. The event was Castro's trip to Harlem in 1995.

Many Puerto Ricans showed up cheering and applauding him. When the reporter asked why they love him, she went nuts.

She said that they were hired by Castro and the reporter tried to calm her down she said that the reoprter and the network were working with Castro to have her taken away. He cut the interview short and they went to black.

I have no doubt she'll breakdown on air again.
