Project Greenlight movie heading to DVD quickly

by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 10th 2006 8:39AM

Feast posterDid anyone out there watch the third season of Project Greenlight on Bravo? I really enjoyed this show, but ratings for the most recent season were so-so at best, which means that we probably won't see a fourth season of the show. But fans have been waiting for Feast, the horror film from the last season directed by John Gulager and starring Balthazar Getty, Krista Allen, and Navi Rawat, to be released, but there has always been some delay from the Weinstein Company for a variety of reasons, and several dates announced as release dates have come and gone.

But the movie is heading to DVD on October 17. Sure, the movie will have it's premiere in Las Vegas on September 12, and will be seen in limited release on September 22 and 23 (late night showings only), but this is still basically a straight-to-DVD release, only with a twist.

I guess this is better than never seeing the movie at all. And fans might be happy that the film will be available on DVD so quickly (well, so quick after the theatrical run, not quickly in general).

I really loved this season of greenlight, and I've been waiting for the release of Feast for a year. You glanced over the fact that Judah Friedlander is also in this movie. You might remember Judah from his portrayal of the nerdy friend Toby Radloff from American Splendor.
