Lost viewers can just eat it

hurley; apollo barHmmm. I wonder what's in the chocolate? The Hanso Foundation's latest press release announces a free Apollo Bar giveaway in America, United Kingdom, Australia and Asia between this Thursday and mid-September. In it, the 'creator' of Apollo Bars, M. David Benson, says, "Once people taste my chocolate bar, I think they'll be hooked."

Apollo Bars, for those who are wondering what I'm talking about, are among the food found in the pantry in the hatch on Lost. And, yes, the giveaway is for real. You can check here to see if Apollo Bars will be given out for free in your city.

erroneous_nick: I live in Maryland. Your remarks only further cement your California envy.

Not angry at all, just find the over-focusing on California as if it's 99% of the country irritating. It doesn't help to have people like you from California with such a smartass attitude. I find most people representing your state to be smug, self-righteous and not at all concerned with anything outside your state's borders.

Your remarks only further cement that assessment.

I would only want one of these for the collectibility factor. It looks like there's one in my area but a time isn't given.

erroneous_nick: If you're really that angry about not getting a free candy bar send me a message and I'll PayPal you 80 cents.

That's the problem with these types of promotions; if you don't live in one of a few major US cities, you're out of luck. Usually, the lion's share of this kind of thing goes to California cities, which is irritating beyond belief. Every time I see California get most of something like this, it makes me angry toward that state, which is wholly unfair to the people of California since it's not their "fault". A better way would be to sell the darned things online giving anyone from anywhere an even chance of acquiring the product.

I, too, am in the south and after hosting both Katrina and Rita victims for several weeks I could use a free candy bar about now...or a drink. I suppose the south and midwest will just continue to be considered as unimportant as we always have been. We're used to it, but it doesn't make it any easier to take, nor does it make it equitable.

So, I see the south isn't worthy of the Apollo Bar giveaway. You'd think FL would be considered. Cape Canaverial, the Apollo program, etc.
