Hidden messages on Prison Break?

by Keith McDuffee, posted Aug 22nd 2006 10:46PM
prison breakI got a couple of comments on my post on Monday night's Prison Break premiere that mentioned some sort of Morse code during the show. "Morse code?" I thought. "What Morse code?" See, this is what I get for watching an early draft of the show and not following up with the actual aired episode. Luckily my TiVo season pass recorded the episode and, to my surprise, there it was -- a hidden code not shown in the screener! Read on to see for yourselves.

This is a screenshot of the scene in question as it appeared on the screener copy I watched:
prison break code
Nothing peculiar at all. No strange code of any kind, as far as our eyes can see. Now, here's the same scene from the actual aired episode:
prison break morse code
There is a strange code! And no, it's clearly not Morse code, as it's simply would read: SIIEIHSSIH and so on. And if the first row's a phone number, well, it doesn't seem to ring anywhere (yeah, I tried). So, either it's totally meaningless to us and will clearly play a part in a later episode, or I'm baffled as to what it could mean.

The fact that the editors purposely altered this scene clearly show it has some significance, though the fact that it was added in so late makes me wonder how it could suddenly have meaning within the show. Speculate away!

The prison in season one was a religious prison, because a priest was charge of the prison, and religious people were trapped in that prison. Who could save them? A freemason, Michael Scofield, he is a mason, isn't he?

"WHERE GHANA UTAH"

Pronounce it in the right accent - australian may be best, but a terrible impression of a southener (USA) might work and it sounds like

"We're gonna Utah"

And they are going to utah. Couldn't be simpler.

(OK, it could)

ok now you all just might be stunned or not but the code goes off of the phone key pad. for example 7=r and so on if you have a cell phone use t9ne word and play with it or figure it out yourself but all the codes all put together from all the episodes thus far from sarah say rendezvous-sundown-hotel-gila,NM . now that the easy part is done i see nobody mentions the latest episode mystery and if u still have it Tivo'ed check @ about the 28 min mark and listen for a website. there is a code on that website that still is not cracked...okay heres the website europeangoldfitch.net...ive broken it can you?

Another note in Episode 7 Sara got another crane after she went home...but she didn't open it and just threw it on the floor...that has to be a clue...maybe in Episode 8?

3 6 3 3 9 8 6 8 7 = "Phone number" Michael gave Sara on the crane.
... .. .. . .. .... ... ... .. .... = First line of dots on the crane from Ep 201.
3 2 2 1 2 4 3 3 2 4 = The dots, converted to numbers.

7 3 6 3 3 9 8 6 8 7 = Numbers on a phone key pad
3 2 2 1 2 4 3 3 2 4 = Letters for each number above it.

For example, (7, 3). The third letter on the number 7 is R. Then (3, 2). The second letter on number three is E. Following this pattern, the first line of the dots combined with the new phone number spells out... "R E N D E Z V O U S" - which is French for "meeting" or "get together".

The same thing for the phone number given on the 9/25 episode gives the message "SUNDOWN HOT"

and from a source, they learned that the last set of #s is 35445266 which gives the message "ELGILANM"

spaced out correctly, the message is - "Rendezvous - Sundown Hotel - Gila, NM

Anyone noticed the last episode mention http://europeangoldfinch.net/ as a way for them to communicate in the future. The site is a message board about birds, but NO way to use it. Maybe another hidden secret and it is not really really about "birds" just a thought

update" just reaearched it..It is registered under FOX!

I've createda wiki for keeping track of the messages/codes in Prison Break because I constantly found myself flicking between too many different forums/blogs :)

You can find it at http://finch.pbwiki.com

Jason, WRK JUMPN LJ - Lincoln jr.
As pointed out on the Prison Break "The Phone Number" thread, 7363398687 spells out RENDEZVOUS. Works with freeing LJ. Alternatively, SEND FX TO US.

If Dr. Tancredi can't crack the code she could do a blogsearch, so I hope we aren't barking up the wrong tree.

The next message: ATTACK AT DAWN.
