TV Squad contest: Which new show gets canceled first?
Bob ran a contest last year, and it worked out so well that we're doing it again. However this time, in order to give more people a chance at winning, we're making one change. And the prize this time: A do-it-yourself HD PVR system from SnapStream!Every year there's a plethora of new fall shows and, like ritual, several of those fall shows ... fall. Your task: Be the first person to comment below with not only the first new show to be canceled from any of the top networks (those being ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and The CW) but also be the one to report the number of episodes it will last (or be closest to that number). By "last" I mean the number of actual episodes that will air consecutively through the season, not just those produced.
Read on for a few more important rules and prize details!
Basic rules (and these may be updated to clarify later, if need be): Only ONE entry per person. Each entry needs to be submitted in an approved comment (approved meaning you activated it via the email sent to you). Each comment may only contain one show with the number of episodes you think it will last before being canceled.
A "new" show is one that is first airing this fall, beginning with this past Monday (with Vanished). Once a show is officially reported by a network as being canceled, the potential winners will be narrowed down to those who chose that show. Once it's clear how many episodes will or have aired, we'll find the first person to have submitted that guess, and that will be the winner. Note: You must place your guess before the day of the cancellation announcement (i.e., you can't read about the cancellation and then post your "guess".) The number of episodes you list means episodes that air in succession during the season. So if the series airs episodes later next year or in specials, that won't count.
Now, here are the prize details. SnapStream was extremely generous enough to offer the winner a complete do-it-yourself PVR system, which includes:
SnapStream Beyond TV- SnapStream Firefly PC Remote
- An analog TV tuner card (that includes an IR blaster for people who want to record from their satellite or digital cable set-top box), and
- An HDTV tuner and antenna
I'll close comments on this post when there's a winner. Good luck!
