Big Brother: Nomination #9
(S04E22) Scheming Danielle, candy poker, and a bellyflopping Chicken George. Yup, there wasn't much to this episode but we did get a nice peek into the ongoing flirtation between Will and Janelle and a rather disturbing look at Will's relationship with the camera (I'm never sure how much of that narcissism of his is an act).Erika grills Boogie on whether or not she is the top alliance in his life. She wonders if he is willing throw Will under the bus for her. Boogie's showmance technique gets put to the test as Will worriedly confesses that their strategy hangs on Boogie's skills of seduction. Hos before bros? Ah, Erika, don't bet on it.
The food competition involves having the houseguests dress as bees and birds and flowers and then basically suck up juice in their costumes and then squeeze it into different jars. This is basically an excuse for everyone to jump on top of each other and no one wants to be the victim of Chicken George's 200 lb. extraction technique. Yet another example of this season's obsession with the fatness, the fact that Chicken George is 200 pounds and the largest person in the house seems to get referenced at least a few times per episode.
There's something taut and tense about Erika that worries me. She just seems neurotically frail wandering around in her bikini and hiding her face under that cascade of luxuriant hair. Like Danielle she can't seem to find the lightness in the game. They are the two most intense players left, mulling each move and feeling deeply emotionally betrayed by everyone else's machinations. Chilltown is in it for the sport, Janelle relishes being America's sweetheart and as for Chicken George, well he's just happy to be there collecting paychecks.
At the end it is revealed that Boogie's Smooth Operator moves were a success. Erika nominates Janelle and Chicken George. Boogie was aiming for her to nominate Danielle but as Will confesses, anytime Chilltown isn't nominated it is fine by them. Once again, I've been a spoilerhound over at Jackie's and all I can say is that Erika's got a hos and bros decision of her own to make.
