Who crashed the VMAs?

by Anna Johns, posted Sep 1st 2006 7:49AM
mtv 6000Wondering who the guy is who crashed the MTV VMAs last night? His name is Sixx and he claims to be a filmmaker who can't get a break in Hollywood. He and a couple friends are making a documentary-style movie about how they crash Hollywood awards shows.

Last night on MTV, Sixx hopped up on stage as Panic! at the Disco! was about to accept the award for Video of the Year from Jennifer Lopez. Sixx grabbed the microphone, introduced himself, said that MTV never gave him a show, and told people to log on to MTV6000.com. I went to the website last night and, even though it's excruciatingly slow, I got to watch about half of a movie trailer that is posted there. Eh.

You can watch the VMA crasher video on this site.

[Thanks, Jed!]

maybe he was on mancow! also once again the "quirky" tech department at MTV has tampered with the look of the awards show's broadcast! making it(not again?) look like it's on FILM! rather than on VIDEO TAPE they should have used this "special prosess" on the "movie awards" broadcasts (which was taped on a saturday and shown on the following thursday) after all that editing mumbo jumbo "they should've made THIS look like it was on film NOT tape!(as they alrady did to the VMA's) even worse, they kept showing highlights from that movie awards which was held on a saturday in their comercials for the movie awards which always has ruined the "spontinaety" of the movie awards "spoilers" indeed! and you don't want us to see spoilers for prison break? this is even worse! why, they never even payed tribute or celebrated MTV's 25 anniversary! a milestone indeed! and the network has chose to ignore it rather that to celebrated it (like they did in the past for their 10th and 20th years on the air which was really a waste of time and money, and celebrity preformances/appearances, back then.) i say, put the VMA broadcasts back in it's original form! (like last year's) this is supposed to look like a "live" broadcast, NOT a "movie", save that so-called "special filmlike process" for the movie awards next year.:P

Three things:

1.)Anybody who puts a website on a dial-up line (and a slow one, at that) ain't got it together to start with.

2.) Who's gonna hire anyone named "Sixx"? Sounds like a droid character out of Stargate SG-1!

3.) I've always agreed with the theory of "any publicity is good publicity"; but just being annoying at awards ceremonies isn't winning brownie points with anyone. CASE IN POINT: When was the last time "Soy Bomb" got a Christmas card from Bob Dylan?

That fool always crashes the VMAs. Shows you how secure the awards really are. Usually though, he pretends to be part of some hip-hop group's entourage when they're accepting an award.
