Big Brother: Nomination #11

by Deidre Woollard, posted Sep 4th 2006 8:59AM
erikaandjanelle(S04E25) Welcome to Showmance Central. Erika thinks that she and Boogie are "lovebirds" and a match made in Big Brother heaven. Boogie, well, he did it all for the votes. Meanwhile, Will asserts that his "showmance" is really just a flirtmance (i.e., no kissing). The relationship between Boogie and Will? True love all the way.

Poor Erika, smoking makes her seem aged and unattractive in Boogie's eyes. Of course he wouldn't be all over her even if she was smoke free. In fact he seems to be pretty repulsed at this point. It's a painful to watch and a cautionary tale for women of a certain age. If Boogie qualifies as a "baby boy" and an object of desire, it's time to make a new life plan.

Boogie becomes the new HoH after a football-themed competition. With no other people in the house the showmances are in high gear. Boogie tries to talk Janelle and Will into getting married in Vegas. Will tries to talk Erika and Boogie into having a baby. When Boogie and Erika head off to work on that project, a visibly sloshed Janelle tries to get Will to kiss her. When she gets angry and Will has to console her, Erika listens in on the conversation. She hears Will promise Janelle that he is taking her to the next round before Boogie swoops in to tempt Erika back to his junk-food-laden HoH lair. Will the lovely ladies finally buy a clue (please, pretty please)?

Boogie nominates Erika and Janelle of course. He makes a half-hearted apology to Erika but he doesn't really seem to care whether or not the jig is up. Erika seems hurt but alas not as hurt as she is going to be when she sees the footage of this season.

LilBit, your question is not stupid. Boogie wasn't able to use the power of the Coup d'Etat. He had to use it on one of the following 3 nominations for eviction. But he didn't, so the "power" had expired. Boogie did something stupid.... the last week when he could have used the power of the Coup d'Etat, he won HOH. The idea of having the power of the Coup d'Etat, is having the power to change the HOH's nominations. So, Boogie winning HOH wasn't a smart move on his part. He just wasted the power. I hope I explained myself clearly. :) Also, Boogie didn't really guess the riddle. Will told him the answer, and he(Will) let Boogie win the power.

Mike is coming off as real scumbag. He's building some really bad karma and hopefully will be shocked when he sees the replays of the show of his actions.

Why are we not being shown the jury house ? No doubt that would be far more interesting and funny than the regular BB shows.

The last couple episodes have had me cringing every time Erika does a DR session. I can't believe how emotionally needy she is. It's sad and Mike comes off, to us, as doubly skeezy for taking advantage of that. Is the prize really worth ANY price? This is way beyond flirting. He has sold his soul.

Will keeps being Will. I've had to change my mind about him this season: I like him and you have to give it to the man because he has arranged the chess board exactly the way he wants it and keeping himself well out of check.

Janelle is another woman who has lost the plot. As a manipulator herself, I'm really surprised she hasn't realised that the puppetmaster has her on strings.

Every time Erika and Janelle muse about how the other one mistakenly believes they have a solid deal for final 3/2 I shout at the TV: how has neither seen that they are both being duped? It boggles the mind!

I really wish Erica and Janelle would wise up but it's too late now. Janelle can't trust Erica to vote out Boogie so she has to stick with Will. If only Janelle had told Will, sure I'll put up Erica and George and said "I nominate Will and Mike." instead. What happened to it's all an act, I'm after Chilltown.

Boogie is stooping to an all time low and he's doing it for the air time. He can't compete with Will and doesn't have the charm so he's doing what he thinks will get him tv time. The evil villain gets more attention and he's decided to play that role. The thing is he's not even good at playing evil.

Why these people didn't nominate Mike and Will the first week and keep gunning after them from the get go, I don't know. They had seen them on Big Brother, they knew what they were like.

being a old guy, and having a 16 year old daughter..i can only hope.......reality tv as scripted as it is, sadly does seem to reflect todays culture.... poor erica,,,her only excuse would be if some silicone leaked into her brain....boogie? thinks he's untouchable,,hopefully he wont die in a fiery car crash someday....will, well at least he's in on his own joke......and jannelle...cheezies...well, at least she can thank the show this time for not showing her drunk ALL the time [ just enough to remind us all how sad she really is ]
but the real loser?? ME, cause im watching it.
