Big ratings for Katie's first night

The evening news has always been a special serious moment in learning about the events taking place in the world. Unfortunately, Katie's inability to be serious has taken away the dramatic delivery that has always been a trademark of CBS News. I will now watch the evening news on other stations.

KATIE COURIC IS THE BEST!! AND SHE LOOKED JUST FINE IN WHAT SHE HAD ON THAT WHITE JACKETT FIT PERFECT.. SHE IS SUCH A WONDERFUL LADY AND SHE HS THE BEST ATTITUDE AND SHE IS A VERY HUMBLE LADY . I WISHED PEOPLE WOULD STOP PUTTING HER NAME IN THE DIRT THEY NEED TO THINK ABOUT OTHERS FEELINGS . SHE WILL BE WATCHED ALL THE TIME HERE IN KY AND KATIE IM VERY PLEASED WITH YOU JUST KEEP UP WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN DOING !!!!!!!GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU .

i think that its to early to judge. It was her first show. It might be true that she has yet to establish a groove. You know its not like she's under any pressure or anything. The first woman ever to solo anchor the evening news - you know, not biggie!! Lets not be so fast to Judge.
And I think that jacket is sapose to fit like that. I can't imagine the stylist seding her out there looking like a fool.

I tuned to NBC half way through the newscast. I'm interested in news, not fluff and the way she ran from one story into the next was not coheasive. Also the last thing I want in my newscast is an edited interview with George Bush which is not news but politics with softball questions.

She's so rehearsed it's obvious. ...Almost mechanical with each word carefully enounced. She's a nice lady, but what is all the hype about??? Maybe she'll thaw out soon. Even Barbara Walters seems like the girl-next-door compared to her.

I did not watch but I heard the jacket she wore did not fit well. By looking at the picture, I gotta agree. That is awful....

I don't really watch the evening news anymore so I won't be tuning in much. I prefer Brian Williams if I do watch. I get my news off of the internet and morning shows more than anything else.
