Bounty Hunter Signs to The Firm
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Duane "Dog" Chapman and his wife, Beth, from A&E's No.1 rated television show, "Dog the Bounty Hunter," have signed with managerial powerhouse The Firm for exclusive representation in all areas.
The Firm will coordinate all aspects of the Chapmans' business life including speaking engagements, television programming, publishing, merchandising and feature films.
The Chapman clan, whose third season is currently airing on A&E, is now filming episodes for season four. The show, a tremendous hit for A&E, reached new heights with the airing of its recent 2-hour wedding special, landing at No. 1 for all cable programming on its air date and beating traditional network programming as well.
The Firm signed the duo last week. Alan Nevins, who will lead The Firm team, was awakened by his new client informing him that Dog and two other members from the show had been arrested by U.S. Marshalls in relation to Dog's capture of Max Factor heir and Most Wanted list rapist Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.
The Firm and A&E coordinated efforts for a news special detailing the history of the Andrew Luster case and the extradition that Mexico was requesting of the Chapman team. The special, "The Family Speaks," also hit a high note in ratings for the Chapmans and A&E last week with approximately 4.5 million viewers -- with subsequent airings of the special also breaking records for the network.
Beth and Dog, from their home in Hawaii stated, "The family business has now outgrown the family. The Dog brand has increased drastically in the last year and it has become impossible to handle the amount of requests we receive on a daily basis. The Chapmans now graciously extend our Ohana to include The Firm."
The Firm is the largest talent management company in the business representing such artists as Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Kelly Clarkson, Snoop Dogg, Korn and many others.

I don't think there should have ever been charges been filed against Dog, Leland, and Tim. They just doing there job to make the world a safer place. Thank God for men like these that care about other people. This man they arrested needed to be caught and that was the only way to make us feel safer was to go and get him. I want to thank Dog, Leland, and Tim for doing what they thought was right. Thank you

I as an American am terrified. I do not understand why our country the Land of the Free, is complying with anything the Mexican government requests. I am ashamed to be an American today! Something must be done to retain the trust and faith in the US Government.
These three individual's, Duane Dog Chapman, Leland Chapman and Tim Youngblood Chapman; they went and captured Andrew Luster who brutally raped many women in the United States, they gave relief to many women knowing that because of Dog and his Crew that America would be safe of Luster's rage against women.
Now they are facing extradition to Mexico on charges of Restraint of an Individuals Liberties, according to Mexican officials. The penalty for this charge; 6 months to 4 years, which can include torture and possible death. Luster is now serving 124 years for 86 counts of brutal rape, who knows how many women he raped while on the run in Mexico. Luster was convicted and indicted in absentia as he has already fled to Mexico. Why wasn't Luster's passport confiscated and he given house arrest and a monitoring device (at the very least) yet Dog was not given as much respect as a brutal rapist.
We must protect American citizens from such brutality. How can an American Judge sign the death warrant of Dog, Leland and Tim for such a 'petty charge', considering the result being that the Dog and Crew brought a US wanted fugitive to justice? Is this the reward they will receive for bringing Andrew Luster to prison after being convicted in absentia? Is this how our government will actually show appreciation of what Dog and Crew did? If so, it is shameful, and I am not proud to be an American today!
Supporters have already cancelled trips to Mexico, boycotting Mexican business, and restaurants on American Soil, and we are also boycotting Max Factor products, and their affiliates.
We will send our message of disbelief and support any way we can for Dog, Leland, Tim and their families.
Please step in and up and show the American people that this can not and will not happen to any Americans and we will not take it anymore. Show the American people that we can have faith and trust in our government to protect us all from such travesties of justice.
This can not happen in America to Americans!
God Bless Us all and whoever can make the decision to save our faith in America!!!

I think Mr Chapman got what he deserved when he went to Mexico to get Andrew Luster in Mexico. He went there to get the bounty that was placed on Luster's head and not to do a public service. If he was doing a public service he would have told the Mexican police and they would have captured Luster and returned him to US. Instead he broke Mexican law and is now sorry that the Mexicans want him back to try him. I do not feel sorry for Mr Chapman and deserves whatever punishment Mexico gives him for breaking their laws.

I think Dog and his family are fabulous. It's time someone had the guts to get the criminals off the streets. Some of those people are downright dirty. Dog and family are real people in the real world. They are trying to keep it clean for us. Thanks to the Dog family for having the courage to keep us safe. All the best to the Chapmans during this fight for all their beliefs. WE LOVE YOU DOG!!

A dog is "given" its first bite in U.S. courts. I think this Dog,the Bounty Hunter should be allowed his first "bite" in Mexico, if, indeed, he did violate a Mexican law. Afterall, these men brought back a U.S. RAPIST criminal to rot in prison for his dastardly crime. The U.S. should be given these men a huge reward for capturing this criminal and bringing him back to Justice. Free the Chapman Family !
