Clinton goes ballistic on FOX - VIDEO

by Joel Keller, posted Sep 25th 2006 12:33PM
Clinton goes apeshit on FOXWhat happens when you mix Bill Clinton, a morning issues show produced by the conservative FOX News Channel, and a question that he didn't do enough to capture Osama bin Laden? You get the tirade below, which aired yesterday morning on FOX News Sunday. When host Chris Wallace questions the former president on how his administration failed to get bin Laden, Clinton got increasingly upset, to the point where he was almost yelling at Wallace. I could go over what he said, but you're better off watching the ten-minute video and you can decide for yourself whether he is right or not. Embedded video is after the jump; it's been one of YouTube's most-watched videos to date.

By the way, here is Wallace's reaction, care of FishbowlDC.

Somethings never change, like people thinking Clinton has things to hide. Clinton was guilty of one thing. Telling a lie over a human act (sex) while in office.

I can almsot guarantee all of you would have done the same in his shoes. Now ask yourself how many times Bush has bold face lied to the American people consistently?

The number is near astronomical and supercedes that of Clinton's big lie by far. You all may not think Clinton did much for our Country, but I sure can remember things were not horrible.

We had peace, we had jobs, our country's national debt was no where near 700 trillion. While the international community didn't think too highly of us (as they always have) they certainly didn't hate us to the point of hazing at the site of an American.

So you think you can sit there and knock this man for defending himself on National television? I mean for Christ sakes, he went through an impeachment trial over that lie. Where the hell is Bush's impeachment trial when he has done more in the illegal department double fold.

Mr. Clinton will always have my respect.

const says: "Clinton wants to make it incorrect, or at least impolite, to criticize his record on terror."

Did you watch the video?

No. He doesn't want to make it incorrect or impolite to criticize his reconrd on terror. He wants the same questions/criticisms leveled at Bush, "the other side."

Fair and balanced my a*s. Clinton was great and powerful in not taking Wallace's crap.

If he was able to run again, I'd vote for him!

"Third, if you are going to describe Fox News as a "conservative channel" then you should include the same thing when writing about CNN, which is completely in a Left wing channel these days."

Yeah CNN is on the Left side of things. With shows like Nancy Grace, and Glenn Beck. A guy that thinks that acting like he hates politics would hide the fact that hes just like Bill Oreily.

Give me a break Clinton have all the right so tell off Wallace. GW did the same when he was interview on NBC on Sept 11. Clinton didn't ignored anything that said Osama Bin Laden like Bush. If Clinton had recieve a report that said "Osama Bin Laden will attack the USA" He will take it seroiusly.

well let me put it this way - there is a right wing bias on fox news and a left wing bias almost everywhere else. Big deal we know it, we can filter it. It would have been nice if Clinton got him but it's clear he tried and did fail. Bush hasn't gotten him either. Iraq was probably not the best move but Saddam is a bad man and if this wasn't such a media war in a 24hr news cycle we would have gone in harder killed a lot more civilians but probably would be done with it, think Dresden. Also bush isn't all that bright, Rummy has a really, really bad record, we can't pull the troops out and I seem to lose a sock every time I do laundry - at the end of the day we regular folk aren't part of the equation until they send us to fight or tax us to pay for it and in the end the rich get richer and the poor are sent to kill each other- I was never a Clinton guy but he has the right to defend his record and until someone does get OBL (sounds like disease will get him first) the right doesn't get to beat him up for missing because that's all team bush has done so far.

Some things I think we can all agree on are these:

Politicians lie...a lot.

Left or Right side in office, nothing seems to change very much.

Blame is almost always passed to another administration.

The winner of an election always claims to have done things better than his/her losing opponent.

The loser of an election always claims he/she could've done better than whomever they lost to.

Politicians lie...a lot.

(Yes, that was listed twice, which is kind of light for how often and extensively they lie.)

Joel, way to open up a can of worms with a side of whoop ass. :o)
