Jimmy Kimmel to host the American Music Awards again

Jimmy KimmelJimmy Kimmel really is the hardest working man in show biz, isn't he? The late-night talk show host and former TV Squad interview subject has been named host of the American Music Awards for the third time.

In the press release announcing the move, Kimmel responds in a sentence that's confident and self-deprecating at once, "I am very happy to have been asked to return as host of the American Music Awards and graciously accept ABCs apology for snubbing me last year."

Remember that Kimmel is also set to host an ABC game show called Set for Life, is a "creative consultant" on buddy Adam Carolla's radio show, and produces shows like Crank Yankers and The Andy Milonakis Show. He makes Ryan Seacrest look like a lazy bastard, doesn't he?

I think Jimmy Kimmel is one of the most refreshing people on television. The guy uses his friends and family on his show. He just seems like a great down to earth guy. I tell you I haven't seen one guest on his talk show that doesn't seem to be enjoying themselves. He's very calm and listens better then any other talk show host. The guy doesn't use any notes and he has CONVERSATIONS with the guests.

Jay Leno is so focussed on getting to the next question that true honest conversations never seem to materialize.

Kimmel is someone that i think anyone could hang out and have a good time with. I applaude his well deserved success!!!!

I hope others feel the same way.
