Lost is the only show on television: TV Guide in 60 seconds

by Bob Sassone, posted Sep 30th 2006 7:37PM
TV Guide - LostOur weekly roundup of what's in America's favorite TV mag.

  • Are they kidding? Lost is on the cover AGAIN.
  • Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski talk about the new season of The Office.
  • Matt Roush has some info on the new season of MI-5.
  • Check out the TV Guide podcast and see what they think of all the new fall shows.
  • One of the things I don't really like about the new TV Guide web site: you have to download a PDF file to read the Hot List. Lame. But it includes Dane Cook this week (he's hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live tonight).
  • This is an odd blog: the Greatest Pepto Moments In Television History, about the creepiest/most disgusting scenes on TV. It's sponsored by Pepto-Bismol!
  • In the print edtion: 10 things you didn't know about CSI: Miami (#5: it sucks); secrets of the Battlestar Galactica Cylons revealed; Rosie O'Donnell and The View; and a look at the emotional farewell to Steve Irwin.

Well, all those Lost covers finally give us a respite from the 1990s, when every other cover was promoting some incarnation of Star Trek.

Let's hope they don't end up doing one of those "7 different covers featuring LOST castmembers! Collect them all!"

MI-5 is now MIA from A&E's schedule. Maybe they'll move it to their BIOGRAPHY channel, like the did with the underrated MIDSOMER MURDERS.

We are talking about the LOST on ABC at 9pm on Wednesdays, right? Because if we are then why wouldn't you want it on the cover of TV Guide. Its kind of like turning down a parfait or a raise, because you would do so and face certain doom. I don't know if you realized it but the world stops spinning when LOST is on.

That is so frustrating to read about MI-5 not getting promoted well by A&E. It really is the only show I watch on that network. Guess my Tivo will be busy on Oct. 21st.
